Other than he seems to have only had access to it, rather than actual disc (something that seems to be fairly well confirmed by people I trust) not much. The owner isn't interested in selling it right now.

And part of the reason he probably has no interest in dealing with us? How people dealt with the Curator. All the lovely threats. Would you deal people who are going to tell you if you don't give them the game they'll come around and burn your house down? No, and neither will he. Guess that plan backfired.

i can understand on why he would avoid making contact. Some crazy fans always go extreme and start threatning. But someone like Alzaire or Dot50cal would be reasonable and calm and would make the conversation not public. But we all can hope

This already happens to some degree. But even so, it's hard for anyone outside (and hell, within) the community to be trusting with us. Unfortunately, the RE community by-and-large has a bad reputation and there are a lot of non-RE collectors/beta enthusiasts that look down on us and/or have a big distaste for 1.5 in general like it's a taboo. Even good manners can only go so far. Most people generally respond politely to me if I make an inquiry with them, but I've had quite a few who get snotty and stuck-up despite my inquiry being polite and respectful. Just depends on the person really. Not all collectors are bad people. Most aren't really. It just boils down to trust and such in the end in a lot of cases. Not easily earned. As well as the "business" restrictions of collecting as a whole (i.e. NDAs, friend trusts, contacts, ect)

Anyway, essentially what I was getting at is that while many of you guys know people like me and Dot50 can handle things more "professionally", most people aren't gonna know that. As far as many are concerned, we're just RE fans that can't be trusted cause of the overall reputation.

To be honest, from what I've gathered with a few discussions with outside people, we're still in a bad position overall regarding 1.5. It's unlikely any offers will come directly to the main RE collectors for a while. Likely the copies will stay where they are for a few more years at least. Assuming I don't win the lottery or something, haha.
