Am I the only one who noticed in the GameTrailers review they claimed the graphics were from the ps2 version? I LOL hard at that. Wow, way to get your facts straight guys. (It's obviously gamecube/wii). Although piss on Capcom for being lazy with the cheap upscaling(even if it does look convincing), odd compressed sounds(i mean, why?), and not leaving an option for the controllers to be the way they were. But otherwise, I'm happy to have a GREAT copy of the game again to play. I've been stuck with the crappy ps2 version since november 2005. It's not even the graphics and muffled sound I hate most about that version, but the shit controls.
Anyways, I suppose I'll be getting Code Veronica as well next week. Should be interesting to see what they've *updated* to it.Last edited by valentinesdead?; 09-22-2011, 11:21 AM.sigpic

The compression of the audio & sound effects is too damn obvious. It's like the compressed audio from a N64 game.
Its such a shame because the audio is such an important part of the experience. If they wanted to save space, they should've compressed the FMV's. Most ppl skip them after a 1st run anyway (not the ones with QTE's, though).
BTW, that comparison video between the SD and HD version of RE4 is ridikulas. The SD version in that video looks like it has some muddy filters designed to convince ppl that that's how we played RE4 in 2005. Not even the PS2 version looked that craptacular. If that's how it really looked, then GoW would've been GOTY all over the world instead of RE4.
But, I know... its part of the marketing. Its like when Disney brings out a movie from their vault and makes adverts that show ther new remastered version looking sharper and cleaner than ever before. Showing you the old version of the film. That looks so like shit, that you wonder how the heck it became a classic in the first place.Stuff to remember: Avoid forums if you're having a bad day.

Any chance Capcom will fix the audio with a patch? If not, I'll save my money and just play the Wii version. Better controls, anyway.
Hopefully CVX will not have the same audio problem.Last edited by Det. Beauregard; 09-22-2011, 04:49 PM.Mass production? Ridiculous!
