No, it's insulting Leon, I'm afraid.

Jack Bauer is an asshole. He tortures people. Pretty heroic and cool guy indeed....

Smiley: I agree with most of what you said. Basically, the problem with Leon is that he lacks real involvment within the series.

Chris' actions didn't seem forced. It was clearly personal from the beginning.

It would be insulting to both characters if they were members of the anti-Leon brigade who never fail to get the vapors whenever they see the Curtained haired one.

And Smiley, I see no point spewing hate or having to select one character over the other. Especially when I expect to play as Chris soon on the 3DS and watch Leon's newest imitation of Keanu "Stoneface" Reeves in the next RE cgi flick. That would be too distracting.

It's a vs. topic. Even if you like both characters the aim of the game is to have one oust the other. This ain't no BS versus match-up where everybody wins in their own way (see: Freddy vs. Jason/ Alien vs. Predator). I'm out for ***ing blood. Leon's blood. And I'll get that blood if I have to take it from him by force in Operation: Raccoon City.

But he's not better than Leon and always act like a good friend with them, nothing more. I'd say he's even worse than Leon because he never showed any sign of romantic interest for any woman he worked with.

Muscles Glasses and bacon soaked in Jack Daniels all the way.

Oh...we're talking RE main males? Honestly...I'd rather go with Bruce or Kevin, but Chris v Leon? Bahaha. Its Chris.

Leon has an actual personality that doesn't consist entirely of "JILL?JILL!CHRISSMASH!" so he gets my vote by default.

Also, what's with the lame ass twilight wording?

So what? Torture is fucking wrong. We don't want a hero to behave like he's working within the Gestapo for fuck sake.
And it isn't even the most reliable questionning technique.

He never tortured anybody for pleasure, he does it to save fucking lives.

Vito : You still don't get it, do you?

I'm pointing out that it's wrong to show that using torture can help save lives! Proof is, you think it's legit if it can serve good. You're just approving what the guy behind "24" wanted to show without even questionning it.

I know it's fiction, but because of that, some people start to think "torture can be fine if you can save people with it" which is complete bullshit. I know I sound very moralistic and all and I apologize sincerely. Anyway, we can get back on topic.

Saddam Hussein may well have used the same rational when he tortured folks. True, it was his life, and the lives of his soldiers. But they were saving lives. Somehow, that doesn't seem to fly with the human rights folks...

Plus, torture is a damned stupid way to get information. The first thing I'd do? Lie. Either they go off and check, possibly screwing up on time if they're on a deadline or shoot me, never getting the truth. If they come back...I lie again. If they keep torturing even when you give an answer, there's no longer any point in telling the truth. If they need to check each answer, then I get a break and they get more pissed off until they do kill me.

Most countries don't bother with torture not just because it's wrong, morally (yes, it can save lives, maybe - but that leads to the age old question of where do you stop? When is it acceptable, when not, who do you do it to? Is one killing one kid worth saving a hundred lives and all that jazz) but because it usually gives shit information. The people with the good information are trained to resist - others will tell you anything they think you want to hear so long as you remove the hot poker from there ass. Reagardless of whether they know or not.

And then there's the whole, 'Huh, guess he didn't know after all. Kinda hard to stick his balls back on' problem.

Chris and Leon would never resort to torture.

Chris would punch an innocent boulder to get answers, and Leon would threaten to cut his hair.

I want them to combine there powers for a Fastball Special - Chris uses his genetically enhanced Super Muscles to hurl Leon at an enemy, which Leon then uses his Kung Fu Grip action to destroy in midair.

It's fictional, I don't care. I don't support torture in real life because, as Darkmoon said, the guy can lie, know nothing or even be innocent, being the last the main reason for me.

And I don't see how tortuting his enemies for information makes Bauer not a hero, there's shades of grey here everything is not black and white.
