New Resident Evil 1.5 Footage

Hmm...
There's always the slight chance that videos like this one, which refresh the popularity of 1.5 in the community might catch the interest of one of the various unknown sources which are currently in possession of the game.

Whatever happens, I don't think the game will remain in the shadows for all eternity, it's just going to take it's time before it'll show up, that's all.

There's nothing strange about unreleased videogame prototypes popping up seemingly out of nowhere some twenty years after their prime.
A couple of ancient NES game protos has reappeared over the course of this year, and they are quite a bit older than 1.5, so...

...let's just not give up hope! I'm sure that some day we'll be rewarded for our patience!

This is quite random of a release after everything he had done 4 years prior.
To be honest, I'm not mad, or angry, I just don't believe he deserves the 'thanks'.
Some nice footage, though. Just hoping we can actually obtain it one day, though.

The scene with Sherry seems to be vastly different in this version as compared to the one seen in the Complete Disk. Animations haven't been finalized yet so Elza and Robert are assuming the regular idle pose, that and the voice overs seem to be missing. The same applies for all the cutscenes in this build, I guess. This is probably why Curator was asking for a translations of one of the cutscene subtitles a few years back.

Honestly, I think the "it plays too much like RE1" thing is just an excuse. Yeah, it may play a little bit like RE1, in which certain decisions affect the outcome of the game, and there seems to be more character interaction, and but I don't really see the problem with the game. There are obvious glitches and other things that could be fixed up at the end, but the game looks awesome. And yet they never seem to explain what the problem is with the game playing like RE1, when RE1 was a hit game. What exactly is wrong with it playing too much like RE1? It is more than RE1. It has so much more going for it.

The bottom line, they couldn't milk the series if they released this game, since this game has the most features of any RE game, and the storyline doesn't allow room for sequels either.

The garage area looks awesome, and so does the factory. I love how all of the areas are modern, and realistic, and give a great sense of atmosphere, something that only RE1 PSX has really delivered in my opinion.

guess they thought people wheren't ready for the truth, no reason 1.5 couldn't of been further tweaked to re2 standards.

Well what exactly did you comment on his FB? He can't exactly release any new footage since he doesn't have the game anymore. This new video is just a mash-up of old footage he wasn't able to release back in 2007, that was recovered from a hard drive.

I dunno why people being all nice about him, the guy showed himself to be a total assbag before. I get people want more info and such so wanna play nice but they guy shouldn't be getting much more than the middle finger.

thanks for the post, the game looks nice but I dont regret 1.5 being scrapped for a second because personally I think 2 looks a million times better. If this was released we would have never had 2 so thank god they scrapped it.
