I happen to find this video on youtube, but finally something new, I would have like to have seen video of the 2nd floor rpd, how to get to the heliport and the sewers with the alligator . If the curator has no plans of releasing this game, I think he should show us more videos.

That is if he has more videos. Remember the newest video from him were his "last" remaining clips of RE1.5. If he's telling the truth or lying I can not say but he has been known to troll us before.

I would love to see more video's for sure. Eventually the game will be released and when it does get out there the videos will flood in.

Well, yeah. It does. The director and writer (Kamiya) thought it was shit. The producer (Mikami) thought it was shit. The head (Okamoto) thought it was shit. The new writer (Sugimura) thought it was shit. And that's not even counting the actual development team. Maybe your statement would hold a little weight if it was just one staff member who made the remark, but when most of the people working on it don't even like the damn thing, something is wrong somewhere.

That is your opinion and it's nothing like that. It takes a lot to say "hey, this thing we spent over a year working on like slapped donkeys is fucking shit!"
It doesn't take a lot to say "we've spent several years working on this, it's pretty sweet", they're promoting a product. Saying their own creation is shit is not promotion.

Given the office politics behind the situation and the level of hate it's garnered among the staff thanks to persistent bugging, which as I understand things the Japanese take as being told there game wasn't good enough? I'd be shocked if production said anything else. And yes, they're not exactly the least biased bunch of people. Just as I'm hideously biased by wanting the game to be good.

Well, it's not as though they could say, 'Yeah, that 1.5 was fucking awesome, but someone got there panties in a bunch and we had to scrap it' even if it was true.

I don't think the game was awful, though. Even if the producers say it is. Partially because I don't especially trust there word anymore, and partially because I can't see anything that would make it as bad to play as, say, Survivor. Which was a cheap, quick cash in.

Also I never trashed it or even called it shit. I just quoted the developers on the reason why it was scrapped. This isn't a matter of opinion for me.

Just to be clear, because I really don't feel like arguing about this anymore:

Capcom's decision to scrap the game was most likely a business one, and a financial one. The game was not that great in their eyes, and they figured they could do better, and create more sequels, which would obviously generate more profit. I'm not saying 1.5 was perfect. I was trying to explain that logically, you can't go by somebody's word. You have to play it for yourself. They can all think the game was crap, but that is really their own opinion. I could play the game and love it.

I'm not saying Capcom lied about 1.5. I really don't think there is a conspiracy there. They had their reasons for cancelling the game.

It's like what alinhoalisson said. They said RE5 is good when it is not. It is an opinion. "Good" means different things to different people. What is good for me might not be good for you.

So just because Capcom says 1.5 is shit, I have to roll over and accept it? At least have the balls to let us play the game, so we can judge it for ourselves. They won't even do that.
