Resident Evil 6 - General thread

Well, according to the post on Biohaze, Revelations will be integral to the plot of RE6, which I could see happening, but some of the other stuff that's posted seems rather suspect, such as Leon and Jill co-starring, Ada playing a large role with other returning characters from the past games, and, perhaps most notably, the return of fixed camera angles.

It just doesn't sound, I don't know, realistic, for lack of a better word.

Just read that over at Biohaze! Sounds legit, aside from Leon and Jill being partnered up.. That's kind of weird. I'd rather just have Leon. Or Leon and Chris.. Well, if all of that is true, I'm fine with it!

Not too crazy about the Extinction vibe as you pointed out, but maybe the desolation will add to the horror. Here's hoping.

We will apparently see more this fall in Game Informer? *shrugs*

It may very well be legit, but it just sounds more like a fan's wishful thinking than something Capcom would actually do. I'd love to be proven wrong, but I'm withholding judgment until we get something more concrete.

Resident Evil 5's first trailer (well, the 2007 trailer, not the cg one) was epic on so many levels, it'd be hard to top.

Haha, I know! I know! Capcom did say they wanted to reboot the series, and this certainly sounds like one. I'm sorta hoping we will still get more info this TGS. This game has been in development for how many years now? I think they should have more than enough info to share by now..

I meant more like, every character from the past will be shoe-horned in and Chris and Barry will have an epic fistfight on top of a huge BOW-production ship as the sun sets and Claire and Leon roll around, fighting off zombies and then get married.

The only good RE5 trailer was the "CG" one (the one that came out right after RE4, basically). Sadly, the real RE5 was nothing like that.

Frankly, I'm actually hyped for this game even if only because it sounds like a true finale for the series, unlike 5 which felt like a false climax.

Yeah man, I loved that trailer! I wonder how different RE6 will end up from its teaser trailer..

Maybe the reason they didn't actually show anything is because they're preparing for the inevitable overhaul the game will receive before it's released. This teaser will act as a buffer, if you will.
