BH2 SourceNext, what's the deal and where to buy?

As far as I know, SourceNext was a higher quality port with better quality backgrounds and higher resolutions. I don't remember hearing it was ever easier to mod for. There is one for RE2 and RE3.

Nah, it has higher quality movies, but the backgrounds etc. are still the same. The only difference is that it works without problems on nowadays hardware and Windows, which you can't say about the old version of RE2. At least I had problems running it on my 6-year-old PC without various graphical issues.

Did they just expected people to have settled with higher quality FMVs but without enhancing background quality to at least 640x480? Where's the consistency? =P

The sourcenext version is just more stable on XP/Vista/7 and all files are on one disc (DVD) so its more comfortable to mod..

Every mod that was made can be used in every RE2 version, sometimes you will have to rename a folder to get it to work. A lot of modders already release their stuff compatible to both the normal "platinum RE2" and sourcenext BH2

I have the SN version and the only plus to having it is the CG cutscenes.
They are the best of any version on RE2,only problem is it's Hard Subd in JP.

I have the Cutscenes and I can Upload them... is uploading just the Cutscenes only a no no here? it's not the actual game.
