PSX into Dreamcast era; 1-3 + CV. Though it's worth noting anything you play at a younger age will definitely have a more memorable impact on you than recent experiences.

I guess my favorite "Era' would be PSX. I don't count Ports so it's the PS1 where we got RE2 and 3.

I love Zero and I love 4 but RE3 is what made me a fan of the franchise. Much as I rather dislike its overzealous appreciation, RE2 is still a very good game and Birkin is both my favorite villain and monster.

I also have to agree with the Gamecube era. I'd throw the Outbreaks in there, too.
              Mass production? Ridiculous!

Really nice to see it so varied. Life in the old series yet despite the general opinion on Resident Evil 5 and where we are at the minute.

I'll always fondly remember my first ever moment playing this series. Stood in the original mansion's hallway and not knowing where to go or what to go was amazing at the time. I was literally terrified to open a single door not knowing if it was going to take me to my death.

actuelly i want to be honest
the most freaked out time i had was when i first played resident evil 3 at a friends house i remember i was so scared that i could only watch the intro HAHAH i couldent start the game
now that i think about it same thing happend with re 1 original i was freaked out so i just stayed in menu waiting .. getting myself together to start it.
that was the biggest era when the games was scary as hell.

Definitely the Outbreak era. Too bad it's already over though.

Definitely the beginnings of Resident Evil to the 2000's. Like most people said, I would also add the Outbreak era.
