Well, I played a substantial 10+ minute demo and I really can't say anything that KylieDog hasn't already said. Ammo was limited to the point where I walked into a random room populated by a mook putty BOW...along with an extremely bulbous one (think that blind, fat tyrant from Dead Aim only smaller), said "ummm, fuck that shit," and ran the hell past them. I like the item scanner because anything that allows you to stay put and explore the surroundings is a plus for me. Maybe my version was truncated in comparison to Kylie's but I never encountered any combat with my partner, just ran into Parker and then saw the scene with Vester.
As far as atmosphere goes, well I was in a friggin' club so the idea of me taking in the surroundings properly wasn't much beyond an idea. I will say that the game attempts to bring together elements of both "sides" of the RE series, as everyone says. From those 10 minutes, the game feels as slow and restrictive as the old games (once again, slower rate of fire, limited ammo, cramped surroundings), and I use those words affectionately. Looking forward to February.Last edited by GuardhouseMusic; 10-11-2011, 09:55 PM.
