Yeah not plot related, just Capcom being lazy, though I did notice they have added pictures of the Queen Zenobia and Terragrigia that were not present in the last demo.

Yeah, but from all pictures available they choose just the one with cliff. I think it is meant as easter egg.

Wrathborne: They being lazy with all pictures added from LIN.

          • The official Japanese site for Revelations confirms that once you clear the demo, a new difficulty level is unlocked (Hell Mode).

The demo can be played 30 times. After u play it that many times, the demo gives up the ghost.

            They also posted this pic:

            • Translated the info on the Queen Zenobia from the Japanese official website.

The "Queen Zenobia" was constructed in 1978.

The interior which harkened back to the 1930s golden age of cruise ships attracted many people.

The ocean voyage cruise ship fell into a slump due to the development of airlines, and at one time a crisis of the ship being scrapped was whispered, however it was purchased by the Paraguas Line company in the late 1980s.

Afterwards, after huge remodeling construction, it was reborn as a luxury cruise liner with state of the art facilities.

After remodeling, based in the Mediterranean Sea, it went into service making round trips of every country in the world, pleasing its guests, however in 2003, the Paraguas Line company went virtually bankrupt due to poor management.

In accordance with this the ship was decided to be scrapped.

Since then, there is no remaining record of the "Queen Zenobia", and with the appearance of the ship at sea as a ghost ship, it is a complete mystery.
Additionally, in the LOG BOOK they also revealed other titles they were considering using for the game before settling on REVELATIONS.

              LOST IN ABYSS(深淵で迷子)
              DEAD CRUISE(死のクルーズ)
              DEPRAVED OCEAN(腐敗した海)
              BLOODY OCEAN(血の海 - Blood Bath)

                "Paraguas" is Spanish for Umbrellas.

Coincidence? Or was that company affiliated with Umbrella in some way?

Given the Spencer Estate references in the Queen Zenobia, I'd say there's definitely an Umbrella connection. And we do know that Umbrella had many dummy companies. It would be nice if they tied the Spencer Rain to it somehow as well.

It also seems that the Queen Zenobia Cruise Lines promotional website is completely non-canon as well.

Really? That is very interesting. And what is more of a coincidence is that the Paraguas Line company went bust the same year as Umbrella in 2003...

                    • So after all T-Abyss virus may very well be created by Umbrella and Veltro just steal it after their demise.

                      • It may just be because this is a demo, but judging from those videos, the items you find with the Supply Scanner are not randomized. The person playing through on Hell Mode knew exactly where to look and scan.

I do, however, like that Hell Mode is taking a page from Lost in Nightmares and Desperate Escape in regards to enemy placement and numbers, instead of just making them harder to kill and do more damage.

                        • I don't like the scanner in general. For B.O.W. info it would be nice, but for finding items? Removes part of the series charm of examining everything.

                          • I don't mind that the scanner alleviates the tedium of potential pixel hunts, but if the items aren't randomized, then it's kind of pointless otherwise.

                              • *throws confetti* Don't mind me, just excited for the soundtrack. Orchestral/instrumental only soundtracks are my favorite type of music.
Revelations has a plot with twists everywhere. Way to go, Capcom, you successfully pulled off a mind-screw plotline.
