I've pre-ordered the circle pad pro bundle from Zavvi for £30. Not intending to use the circle pad pro for this game though, just getting it now instead of later.

Nintendo of America has the Circle Pad Pro for $20 on their shop so I ordered one. Only bad thing is that I am using the Nyko Power Pack+ with my 3DS so I may have to swap in the old battery to play with it. Kinda sucks but whatever.
I still have hope that CAPCOM is withholding any images or videos of Zombies. Maybe they have a NDA with Magazines and reviewers to not show or tell anything about them. I really hope there are Zombies...

Nintendo Power Review Highlights:
Spoiler:
Nintendo Power issue 275
9.0 out of 10
Reviewer: Steve Thomason
Some review snippets I found interesting...
- The cruise ship in the Mediterranean "proves to be the most discomforting since the original RE mansion"
- "The game made me jump with embarrassing regularity while playing in a bright lit office"
- Big focus on exploration and scrounging for items and health
- Main focus is the ship with side plots that require you to play as different characters
- These side plots move much faster (more action) than the main story on the ship
- Game runs in episodes much like a TV series
- "couple of neat plot twists"
- "The big conspiracy at the center of the game never quite managed to hook me"
- No surprise appearances (Jill and Chris are the only old characters to return)
- About 10 hours to complete
- Raid Mode is more focused and more compelling multi player than Mercenaries 3D
- Raid Mode has more "staying power than Mercenaries"
- Same control scheme as Mercenaries
- Use your thumb on the touch screen to activate some fingerprint locks
- StreetPass enables you to receive special rewards for use in both multi and single player modes
- Genesis Bioscanner is a "nifty addition to the RE formula, and something we hope to see expanded upon in the future"
- Production values are great. CGI cinematics and soundtrack are great. "Hard pressed to think of even a Wii game that seems to have as many resources poured into it"
- Underwater is not "nearly as frustrated as it is in most games"
Ending statement:
"If Revelations isn't the best reason to own a Nintendo 3DS right now, it's pretty darn close. The game is a showcase for what the handheld is capable of and a potent reminder of why Resident Evil remains one of the medium's most celebrated franchises."

Spoiler:
This is a huge deal breaker for me: No surprise appearances (Jill and Chris are the only old characters to return)

Sounds great - and I guess Chris and Jill being the only characters means it's an entirely self-contained entry into the story - which I don't mind at all. Treat it like Degeneration I guess where it was just Leon and Claire.
Resident Evil 6 is the next one to feature a collective again I guess, though with Chris and Jill being in Revelations, Leon getting Damnation, I wonder who's gonna star - maybe a brand new member to join the fray?http://www.projectumbrella.net The BIOHAZARD/RESIDENT EVIL Compendium

It would not have been shocking to see Albert kicking around, being an evil mastermind. Maybe having him deal with Alex to try and make him a real villain before he shows up. Honestly, I can't see what other purpose Revelations has bar establishing the next main villain...

They're probably trying to prove you don't need Wesker to have an RE game, and they're right...but at the same time hes been such a central figure in the series because they made him one and removing him from it entirely really feels lame.
I mean how many of us really wanted him gone in the first case? Gack, shouldn't be re-opening that discussion.Last edited by Wrathborne; 01-08-2012, 11:23 PM.

God damn it, aside from when I went to a games expo since the 3DS released I've got about 7 hits in total. I hope there is another way of getting those rewards.
Edit: And that is 7 hits for streetpass quest which everyone owns, the chances of streetpassing another Revelations owner is even less. I've got zero SSFIV hits (aside from expo) and that was the first game I got on release.Last edited by Dracarys; 01-08-2012, 11:44 PM.Beanovsky Durst - "They are not pervs. They are japanese."

I did expect Wesker. Glad he's not in it. Enforces what Chris said about his encounters with him in RE5.
HUNK is still there though. Just like how Boba Fett was the bounty hunter in Attack of the Clones. Here we have HUNK involved in some evil antics as noted in the trailers.

You can change the face under the mask, the voice, and even the outfit. But all of "Veltro" stand in for HUNK at this rate. The teaser could have gone with a different character, but they used HUNK's model for a reason and were very hesitant to say his role in an interview. So he's HUNK. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I would be very surprised if HUNK is involved in this game whatsoever. Yes, I remember the old trailers where it showed someone who looked like him (or any other USS soldier) in a hallway on the ship running from explosions or something, but just because the Veltro terrorists are wearing gas masks does not mean HUNK is involved. I will be extremely disappointed if he is involved with Veltro; the guy is a soldier, not a terrorist. It would be like adding another old "face" to the game just to have another well-known character in it.Mass production? Ridiculous!

Well by all accounts he was a placeholder. It's not random USS soldier. Fans know him as the one and only.
Making your organization comprised of HUNKs only creates confusion and speculation. Just like how people saw a blonde woman in a test tube and screamed "Sherry Birkin" despite the narrative making less sense to have her involved in Chris' story.
But "Veltro" is HUNK. Make no mistake about that.
