It really seems like the easy route to go. And given the tendency for everyone to focus on progenitor based virals, it kind of makes sense to experiment with it.

Although, honestly, Saddler always struck me as the sort who would have control over everyone if he could.
Was it ever explained why Krauser joined Wesker? Seemed like such a good guy once, I guess that injury really bothered him.

He felt weak compared to Leon, coupled with the injury he sustained it kind of made him want to better himself in some way. Guess he figured that power would be a way to do so and discovered that Wesker was the man who could give him that power.
        See you in hell.

            Well Leon is very intimidating.

(He already is down, Leon. He's a midget.)

True, if he had anymore confidence it would be oozing out of his eyeballs. He's also a parkour expert, which probably makes Krauser feel bad when this younger guy is flipping all over the place. He thinks to himself..."if only I could obtain the power of the plagas...I could parkour too. That'll show that little punk."

I just requested a translation of Irving's rather controversial profile that we previously had translated (which mentioned "modified subordinate Plaga"). It will shed some more light on the dominant species Plaga, and will be more accurate than the last translation.

Translation of Irving's profile in the Bio5 Kaitai Shinsho book. Much clearer than the last translation. Thanks to cvxfreak.

Irving injected the embryo of the dominant Plaga strain into his own body and mutated into a gigantic aquatic creature capable of surviving in water. Mutating into something quite different from the creature that emerged from the Plaga used by the mastermind of the Southern Europe Incident, we are guessing that this was an improved Plaga species similar to that of the subordinate Plaga strain. The unique characteristic of the dominant Plaga strain is that people who become hosts to these parasites do not lose their consciousness and are able to remain in control with their present state of mind. However, because the new-type Plaga is already controlled by a separate means of command, the purpose of injecting this is limited to increasing the host's combat abilities.
