Tsk! Why not? Some other versions of classic RE games also allow you to skip cutscenes. Besides, that's why ppl are mentioning on what system they managed a particular time.

And ppl don't need a special device to capture screens. Other than a digital or regular camera. Just take a picture of your TV with the best time on and that's about it. Better yet, record the whole thing and post it on youtube.

And I have more confidence with the times ppl get with games that are not online. Cuz hackers... jesus. They cheat like crazy.

Because waiting for the door to load or Barry to stop talking adds a lot to the experience (frustrating as it may be) - plus its the original version!

Adding a skip button (is it an automatic skip or manual?) just creates more variables, but with RE1 original PS1 its perfectly timed for everyone no matter what you do.

Yeah but just because the DS version is different, it doesn't make the times you make on it "invalid".

It just makes it harder to compare the times you get on it, with any other version of RE1. And you probably shouldn't anyway.

I agree, but some people don't care for the original, and disrespect the effort put into it.. you wanna do a traditional speed run play the PS1 version, otherwise anything else will do.. I'm sure some people can understand that..
