I'm wondering what newsbots point is. He posted a source saying not a main series game and spun it to claim it said 'not canon' which it definitely did not.

When I pointed that out he posted a completly different source unrelated to the first one and fairly recent yet acts like it is directly related to the first source he posted, despite changes to the status of the game between the two when RE4s original ideas were changed for the RE4 we got.

He was infected at the end of Gaiden, in a early RE4 magazine interview it was strongly hinted at it in a way that they may as well have directly said it. Newsbot hasn't read it though so it he gets agressive everytime it is mentioned because it doesn't fit his pesonal image of reality.

You really need to go back and play the game. Leon wasn't infected at the end of Gaiden. That wasn't even Leon. It was the BOW. Only the BOW bleeds green. When Lucia was infected with the parasite, she still bled red. That's how they knew the difference between the real Lucia and the BOW.

Leon was going to be infected by something over the course of RE3.5, presumably the Progenitor Virus, but that happened during the events of RE3.5. It wasn't carried over from Gaiden.

The source in the OP says it is not canon. I've already pointed out why your "side game" comment is bullshit, I don't need to do it again.

He was not infected. Play the game.

Also, I am not aggressive. I simply say that a magazine that has apparently been read by only one human being on earth (You.) is not a source. Yet you act like it is gospel, but admit that you don't even know if the "infection" was mentioned by the interviewee or if it was just a dumb blurb beneath a picture. Ask yourself seriously; is that credible?

Yes yes, I get that earlier in the game green blood what used to reveal the B.O.W, evidently people presume that was what the ending was trying to reveal. It wasn't according to the interview.

I remember reading in a magazine aaaaaaaaaages ago (I must have been 11/12) about Resident Evil 4 and Leon was infected and it was like a race against time, and he hallucinated and shit. I'm sure the screens had him in his jacket the whole time and it looked like a log cabin area, similar to the Lisa Trevor cabin in REmake. All creepy and dark. I remember cos I remember thinking "OH NOES, LEON IS GOING TO BECOME A TYRANT!!" and I'm sure it was the Progenitor Virus. Not sure what relevance this has, just thought I'd mention it?

Who cares anyway? Gaiden sucked ass.

Get the interview, then maybe anything you say can be taken seriously.

Yes... this is just what people know as the Fog/Hallucination/Hookman builds of BH4. He was originally meant to have a "power" in his arm, which would later mutate into a blue/black tentacle mass not unlike Uroboros in BH5.

There has been lots of research and exposition regarding the writers of the series in the last four years, which is the reason why all that information is much more well-known today. So if you're going to point fingers at the people who discovered the connections to defend your poorly sourced arguments, please do, but don't expect me to reply to your messages anymore.

That was a joke, Blue. I am the same.

I find that more interesting than Gaiden itself. I personally never considered Gaiden cannon anyway, so it didn't matter to me either way. But thanks for posting that about 1.5.

I find it ironic that Onimusha is using the 1.5 engine, considering that they said 1.5 was "shit".

I never played any of the Onimusha games though. Are they good? I have to YouTube this game now to see this so-called "1.5 engine".

EDIT - Oh News Bot, that 1.5 engine, was that for the un-released PS1 version of Onimusha, or the PS2, or both? I never played Onimusha before, so when I YouTubed it, I saw that it was originally for the PS1, and then they moved it over to PS2. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

^ I knew the psx version was based on the RE2 engine, not 1.5 -wince they're quite different-. News, are you sure it was 1.5?

BH1.5 is also referred to as BH2 depending on who you talk to, this just clarifies which version they were inferring.

I left the book at on my desk at work, but the staff credits all list Capcom or Beams people. It's even published by Capcom and not another company like Enterbrain. The book is very much a work of the internal staff and is written in a manner that only the internal staff would know.

I'll try to provide pics of the page and credits anyway.

Actually, he's not spinning it. Capcom does not use the words it uses for Gaiden to describe other games like Outbreak or Gun Survivor.

Had I known that you posted this originally, I wouldn't have bothered asking News Bot for a scan and getting a snarky comment. Anyway, would still appreciate scans.

Anyway, it seems like a definite confirmation for the first time. After all, "mukankei no" means not only "unrelated" but also "irrelevant" / "having nothing to do with" / "having no influence on".

"cvxfreak sent me this, I don't have the book and don't know anything beyond that" would have been the right answer. Posting something completely unrelated to make me look bad wasn't. So, yes, I am now officially "butthurt" and will take the opportunity to not care in the future.
