No, don't. I have all of those except for the RE 1 Tyrant actually and I'm telling you that the poseability sucks. They're better off staying MOC than you opening and playing with them, since they're not fun to play with. That and the face sculpts suck, none of them actually look like the characters they're supposed to be except for Claire (who looks like she's just taken drugs since she has this really big smile on her face ). Better for displaying than playing.

    P.S. No HUNK? Hehehe... ;D

    • i'd say no, because thats my way of life when collecting figures . Ok back to the type 3, i got a few bits together but im having sooooooooooo much trouble with the front right arm. I'm going to say this to ppl who want one of these, it's basically a peice of crap to put together. This is why moby dick must of gone out of business because of this annoying thing. I'll have to make another bath or somthing to try and fit these peices together. One more thing, if anyone knows of a place i can get a type 3 limited edition, with the box still. Then please P.M me or somthing. I've seen the one of that mero website but they want too much for it

"MOC"? And yeah, I kinda have doubts on whether or not I should open them (the fact that I've had them for almost two weeks unopened says something )
Though the packages itself aren't in the best conditions. :

Yeah they do. Chris looks like he's wearing lipstick, Jill looks like she's from the 70's, and Leon looks like a messed up Frankie Muniz (I never liked Claire enough to look at her )

        P.S. No HUNK? Hehehe... ;D
        It's there. Look closer.

        • MOC = Mint on Card (you haven't opened it yet)

Anyway, if you really plan on not opening them then best to thing to do now is put plastic cover on them. The plastic cover will save the packaging from further wear-and-tear, that and it makes the damages on the packaging less noticeable. Oh, and hanging them on a wall with a hook is a bad idea. Use blue tack or mounting tape if you really must hang them for display, but never ever hang them by hook.

              • JcFFx:
I'd keep the playmates toys sealed. The resident evil 1 ones are quite cheaply made I think. The arms keep falling off my Jill, and my brother has Chris, whose arm also falls off, but also the knife sash snapped off. Not from playing, but simply posing, and then them falling over.

The RE2 ones are a bit better, especially the platinum ones. I really like Ivy and Hunk and William G2. But really it's your choice. The RE2 ones also look alot better too in my opinion.

Nemesis Lover: The back part came with one of the two packs. Not certain which.
The front left arm is a real pain. The arm is made of more solid plastic (at least on mine), and heating doesn't soften it. And it's too hard trying to heat the socket, so I shaved down the hole VERY slowly, because if I went too far, then I'd have to get a new head part, AND all the pieces I'd already stuck into it.

biohazard star: Know anything more about those figures? When they were made? Who made them? Availability? I can see Japanese writing on the little cards, but that's all I can make out. I really like them. Any more info would be much appreciated.

                • They're unofficial "garage kits" (a diy resin model kit) sold only at anime figurine conventions in Japan. Getting them outside of the conventions will be kinda hard to do since the makers are literally only allowed to sell them during the conventions (or else the companies who own the character trademarks will sue them). To put it bluntly, you're out of luck unless you know someone in Japan who can get one for you during a convention or some piraters decide to make a recast (copies of the original kit) of her. You can also probably try Ebay or YJ. But even if you were able to get one, there's still the problem of having to build her, which takes a lot of time and skill.

                  • Still no luck, my nemesis has to stay without his arm for tonight. I have a question, what does r.e 2 platinum mean?, why are they called "platinum"? At the moment i have a few r.e 4 figures pinned up on my wall, so that is bad then, i may have to get a shelf for them, as my glass cabnet is full. I would really love to get those 3 statues of jill etc. My list of what to get first would be Claire, Ada and Jill

The first three resident evil 2 toybiz figure sets released (Leon & Licker. Claire & Zombie, G3-G4) simply said resident evil 2 on the box. The next wave, which was released some months later (Ada & Ivy, Hunk & Zombie, William G2 & Sherry, Mr.X) say 'Resident Evil 2 platinum' on the box.
I'm quite certain the only game released to be called Resident Evil 2 platinum was the PC version, with the model and art galleries (also on the DC version but it wasn't named platinum). Not to be confused with the Resident Evil 2 on PSX, released on the platinum range (cheaper, greatest hits collection).

I'm living in Japan at the moment. But I'd have to go find out when the next convention is, and then they may not even have it. If they're garage kits hand painted and assembled, they'll be silly expensive. I like them, but I don't like them that much ;)
I've seen some model kits on ebay. Tyrant (T-002), Nemesis and Alexia, which I know aren't official. I was guessing bootlegs. I quite like the Alexia one. Might pick one up soon...
OT: I picked up a recast of a 1:1 facehugger from alien. An original kit costs an absolute shitload. The recast was about $25. A few minor defects, but for the price I can't complain. And it looks great too!

                      • I want that Jill

There is usually another Jill "resin model kit" on ebay, the one in the attachment with the giant norks:

But that other one is much better. *sigh* maybe I'll get it when I go to Tokyo in April...

                        • Yeah, I've seen the model kits. Jill's boobs are ridiculous! The're bigger than her head! (kinda cool though ). I've also seen the ones that Selfishgene mentions and they look good too. But if you didn't paint them well... they wouldn't look so good. I think they might be from Malaysia if I remember right. They aint to expensive and I might get them one day (I used to paint these little metal figures called 'Citadel Miniatures').

Those new ones are nice. Jill and Rebecca look great but I reckon Ada's face looks wrong and it's disappointing that she's in the EXACT same pose as the Necca and Agatsuma figures (how bout some variety!).

Nemi-lover, I know how you feel. I think I mentioned earlier in this thread about my own difficulties in putting the Type-3 together, after finally collecting all the pieces. As others have said, hot water worked for me. Just soaking the 'knob' and the hole you're trying to put it in. I had to use a lot of force and I was worried I was gonna break something but I did manage to do it without damaging anything.

                          • the peice under the head of the nemesis kinda broke, but im going to glue it back. It is a very bad plan by moby dick, as i've once said and to make someone buy all 16 or whatever figures just for that. I'm not saying this is bad but man is it big, i need a bit of room to put him laying down. So has anyone got any moc figures for sale or a limited edition of nemesis type 3 with box . btw MattJon i'm going peterbourgh and cambridge in easter, would you recommend anywhere gd or fun to do in peterbourgh?
