I thought RE2GBA was more a proof-of-concept thing than an actual port.

It was, but it made it into "upcoming!" advertisements, apparently. Probably proof of concept, approved and then cancelled in short succession.

uh RE4 is on : GC , WII , PS2 , PC , IOS , PS3 , 360 , MOBILE (MASCOT CAPSULE VER) , Well they could have done better with the HD Release , The textures are the same bad low textures , even the modding community guys made a better work ! , Why couldnt they (if they are lazy) just steal those HD textures from the modding community lol , than just a simple port ! , WII ver unchanged just running on HD , making a game running on HD isnt all Even leon second costume is the same (and they didnt bother to make it appear in cutscenes) , its still nice for those who didnt have a chance to play it , but they should have improved it ! , Not to mention seprate ways Cutscenes , they sure have all the assets they used to make them (Sources) , if they cant make them in real time at least they could have re-rendeared them , or very very least upscale them (which is bad but not bad than what we got ) .

Pretty sure the same will happen with Resident Evil Chronicles , another lazy port :/
Darkness : Tactical reload wasn't even in deadly silence LMAO

Ever notice how you can't destroy torches in SW? That always struck me as odd, too.
          Mass production? Ridiculous!

            I've never tried, haha.

But SW is generally lower quality overall, the textures in that mode are all smaller than they are in the main game, and doesn't Ada have some goofy shit going on with her hand which makes it look like she's constantly carrying a grenade?

Interesting; I didn't know the actual in-game textures were poorer quality than the main game. They look to be of the same quality in the HD version (or maybe I'm blind?) - did Capcom actually fix this?

This is the first I'm hearing of a weird thing with Ada's hand. I'll have to check it out.

After some digging around, I guess the reason why you can't shoot out the torches in SW is because the only version that has ever existed of it is the PS2 version, and in that version I believe you couldn't even shoot out torches in the main game! As a result, the PS2 had a few less spinels in it than the other versions.
