I see things like this and I can't help but think that modern marketing is the wrong way 'round.
In that on facebook 1.5 million people clicked 'like' aka. market to me - and they just dripfeed people who are already interested in the game things they don't care about

Is there a way to unlike? Because it would be hilarious if people were so irritated by such a shoddy 'prize' that the numbers actually reverted to under 1.5 million.

      Well, I'd laugh anyway.

Nada. But I can imagine a lot of other people are disappointed.

And here's where the claw came from.

1.5 million likes: an static picture. No game announcement, mercenary ripoff DLC, nothing.

I wonder if we can win RE1.5 with 1.5 BILLION likes? lol
Hail the heros of the revolution!

The game was never finished. Assuming they even have the source code from that era (which many companies don't, by the way), the likelyhood of them having old machines with working development hardware is actually quite low. I don't see them releasing an unfinished, buggy game (well, I could see them doing that in today's age, but you know what I mean.)

In my opinion, those few minutes of footage available online of 1.5 looks infinitely better than the entire released RE2. Not just the look, but the music, zombie sounds and atmosphere is so much better. I don't hate the released version, it has its moments but that game is a rush job and a stripped-down shadow of what it once was. The released game isn't RE2. RE2 was never released. Instead of RE2 we got RE 2.5. That creepy police station with all of those zombies relentlessly swarming around still looks amazing to me. Hopefully one day i'll get to play the real RE2. I've been waiting for it since 1997. I'd gladly take an old cd-r of the unfinished game over the released one. Quality over quantity in this case I feel. Ah now i'm sad just thinking about it.
