I'm assuming they mean the Resident Evil remake.

But in his defense he was only checking the time on his watch, and that's why he had his arm up at that point. It's not because he has a fear of dogs.

Putting an arm up is honestly a much safer bet when dealing with vicious dogs. They go for the face, neck or some have also been trained to go for the chest.

A well trained guard and/or attack dog that has been trained to attack one arm, will attack the other - they don't just latch onto one thing.

Considering a dog can get two to four bites in before the person being attacked has realized it, kicking, punching or even clubbing a dog with something like a bat WILL NOT HELP.

The best bet is to stand still and if you have enough time, shield vital spots such as the face, neck if being jumped on even by a larger breed as despite them looking like they might be slower, if feeling cornered or just enraged in general they're a lot fucking faster than what they seem.

Personally I feel that the REmake intro is much more logical with Chris standing there. You haven't got much chance outrunning a dog if it's nearby - we saw in RE1 that they barely made it to the mansion by picking off some of the Cerberus (or at least getting a few shots at them to try and slow them down a little) and with how far they were is the only way it was really possible to do it.

I was been lunged at by a trained attack & guard Rottweiler, that could only be called off by specific commands and would respond to words in Hebrew as a child (I hadn't been introduced to the dog as "yedidah" - female friend) and not forgetting abused dogs such as one of the Alaskan Malamutes I had in the past and also am involved in training groups and clubs in Australia.

Enough times to tell you that you see the dog rushing at you, everything has slowed down but regardless of what you do - trying to evade them, hit back, run - you aren't fast enough and prying a goddamn dog's (trained or not) jaw, whilst they're locking down on you isn't an easy task either.

I can happily link some articles by professional trainers, such as Adam Katz if it sounds ridiculous.

Considering that they were experimental viral weapons, there's no doubt that they would have undergone training before or during the experiments.

Use a Japanese deputy service / middleman service. Don't waste your money with Rinkya with their fees, ShoppingMallJapan's haven't been too bad. But if you go with postage outside of SAL (SAL is only for books), EMS can be a bit costly.

You could have a look at this journal post for a comparison of the more commonly used services.

Though with a decent amount of them, you will need to often type in the Japanese titles, so you may need to keep an online translation page up if you haven't got a language pack installed and/or are unfamiliar with the language so you can't type it in yourself.

Another service I go with, is Jap-Sai, the staff are usually pretty quick to respond and are also happy to chat and will also go and look for items for you too (prices are decent too) and in each item you buy, you tend to get promotional flyers and other goodies.

(I got a Dark Souls mini art book, Shadows of the Damned and Dead Rising 2 promotional flyers and the like from them in past purchases) - also, if you also want to look for any older Gamest comic collections that feature Biohazard/Resident Evil in them, they're also a great help too.

So if you were to go with Jap-Sai, just send them an e-mail - Mike will be the guy to usually respond and just ask to see if you can get them to order in the Capcom
"CapBom!" magazine which features the Biohazard manga "Marhawa Desire" in it. I know they'll also take orders from the Japanese e-Capcom store too.

So with the actual Japanese text it would roughly be... - カプコン の カプ本! Vol.1 - バイオハザード "マルハワ デシレ", 2011年9月20日.
            Capcom's CapBom! Volume #1 - Biohazard "Marhawa Desire" September 20, 2011.

Since I haven't bothered looking at scans floating around, I wasn't sure as to what the smaller r character would be used in the katakana for the manga title and I'm too lazy to look. (And the e-Capcom store actually has "Vol.1" in the title oddly enough).

            Hope this helps.

(This admittedly reminded me that I needed to ask Mike if he could find out about an old doujin circle to see if he could help me find some Biohazard, Clock Tower doujinshi by them).

Well, as I said - you can use an online translation service if you are unable to speak/write or at the very least type up how it would sound with one of general writing forms of the language.

And yeah, Rinkya is bit of a rip-off with that crappy $30 or so fee.

That said, the guys over at Jap-Sai are happy to help with or without translations (their fees aren't that bad either, I recall spending about $15-$20 (including postage via SAL most of the time) on a large Gamest comic anthology an I got all of those extra promotional flyers and the like). It just makes it a little easier to look for keywords across sites if you can.

Anyway, as to avoid this further going off-topic - if you have any questions, please send me a PM (I'll try to respond as soon as possible, just my internet provider is giving me the shits right now).
