The memory values for room modifications... uhm... I don't have the final notes for that, but if memory serves me right, you need to freeze the new room value for a second and refresh the screen somehow (easiest is to pause or open item menu) and then it should've force loaded the target room... not sure if the values in the first doc there are the correct ones, though.
Despite this game playing slow it was rather impressive for a GBC game. I didn't think the pre-rendered backgrounds would ever work good an a system like this. The game has issues all right but it's still impressive.
I wondered the same thing. It seems all their best stuff gets cancelled, no? I think the GBC version would have done incredibly good. It's quite and achievement to get the angles, rooms, and the gameplay right.
