My theory about RE: Retribution

Well, basing on the new sinopsis...

"Alice is the only hope of the world and she will reunite with old friends..."

And basing in the fact that Rain, Carlos and a lot of oldies will return...
The only thing that could revert the situation of the actual bizarre and non-sense world that P.A. created would be this:

Someone invented a time machine and Alice used it to save the world. THE END

Heres my Theory:

The film is being made because despite how terrible a movie franchise these films are, they make money. So out of his usual ideas, the ones he takes from other, better films, Anderson has no choice but to use more characters from the game in a nonsensical story that will be loud, badly written, edited, and directed...but it will make money and we'll end up with a 6th film because of it :/.
