Ah dino crisis 2, to this day its still one of my all time faveourite games, i loved the gameplay, the characters, the story and that ending!! damn that was brilliant. So gutted capcom messed that series up, it had such great potential as a series, Dino crisis 3 should have been a continuation from the second game not some crap set in space (btw the whole premise for this game just screamed event horizon).

I have to say that I disagree with a lot of the choices made by people here. Personally, Dead Aim is one of the better games in the series as far as story goes. From a technical standpoint it is riddled with a number of audio issues, the voice actors sound like they recorded their lines in someone's bathroom and a lot of the audio doesn't match up with the subtitles. The music was underwhelming too, especially that godawful J-rock garbage they used for the ending credits theme. Aside from that, it's a pleasant addition to the canon and fits in nicely as far as the storyline goes. It was essentially the Resident Evil equivalent of Tomorrow Never Dies, with a madman targeting both America (well, Britain in TMD) and China. Would have been better if the game took place on something like Elliot Carver's stealth boat but that's just me. That said, would have liked to have seen more from Bruce McGivern and the U.S. STRATCOM. Actually, wasn't it the Anti-Umbrella Pursuit Team or something like that?

I'm sure someone will correct me on this.

Onto my next point, RE0 wasn't that bad of a game. Graphically it still stands up even today and it provided a lot of information as to the origins of the T-virus. I wouldn't treat it as the ultimate prequel as all it did was tell us more about Umbrella and specifically, the T-virus. My main gripe has to be with Marcus, his robe outfit was something that I felt didn't quite fit the setting.

My worst three games in the series?

      Resident Evil 4
      Gun Survivor 2: CODE Veronica
And as much as it pains me to say this, Resident Evil 5. It tried hard, it tried so very hard to unfuck the situation that RE4 placed the series in but in the end it was a damp squib of what should have been a climatic conclusion to Wesker and Chris. In fact, it should have been Chris going it alone on a suicide mission to stop someone who surpasses him in almost every way. Instead what we got was Sheva, an unnecessary addition who was there to appease the black community. Don't look at me like that, you've all thought about it.
      See you in hell.

        That's the difference.
Yeah, the old games are just never hard.

RE5 offering difficulty levels for people of different skill levels does not mean you get to criticise, since it is a positive feature.

No game is hard once you've played it enough.

I always found Marcus to have too much of a supernatural feel about him. I did not at all like how a man can start singing and make leeches bond together into his likeness. I know Resident Evil stretches it sometimes, but that one pushed a bit too far for me, and drastically deviated from the general, biological feel of the series. Though they did it with T-Veronica and Alexia being able to "psychicly" control things; also unnecessary.

I never did find Resident Evil Zero to be that bad of a game; like Spencer said, it gives a massive amount of Umbrella history, and it also gives us a lot of interesting Wesker material. I would have much rather Rebecca been paired up with a S.T.A.R.S. member like Richard or Edward (because it seems more likely) than Billy, but other than that I quite enjoyed the graphics, story, and horror feel.

The difficulty of the Resident Evils (ones without mode options) seem to vary extensively. To me, Resident Evil Zero was extremely easy; however, the successor, Remake, took a little more patience and skill. I've also heard complaints from others about how difficult CODE: Veronica was, but on my first play through, I found it to also be easy, and actually believe it to give you too much ammunition/healing items; I always hear on forums and friends that it gives too little. What game were you playing?!

              Survivor
              Gaiden
              Dead Aim

I can't really find any "bad" ones in the main series, but my least favorite is RE5.
