Oh...Wow...I am so shocked to see immediate hatred for a Resident Evil film.

I am by no means a major fan of these movies. The first one was okay, but they've declined since then, but it is no different than most other movie franchises: Everything gets stale over time and decays.

...But I'll let you in on a little secret: Hollywood doesn't care what hardcore fans think as long as the masses still buy into it. And honestly, no matter what is done to the films...Kill Alice...Replicate one of the games into film...Some people will NEVER be content.

"OH MY GAWD! Jill's beret isn't that color! In Resident Evil Remake it was clearly cerulean turquoise blue! This hat is obviously periwinkle powder blue! The film is ruined!"

Take the films at face value and something loosely based on something else. If you don't like them, you are not being forced to watch them.

In my case, I don't hate the films. I just lost interest after watching the 2nd one. Not because of how Jill Valentine was portrayed in that one or due to any perceived disrespect to the main canon. The film just wasn't any good. It was boring and uninteresting. I have no idea how the sequels were like, since I haven't had any need to see them. At all.

And that Hollywood (Sony, actually) caters to the brain-dead masses that have made those RE films & the Transformer films huge hits - this while ignoring the fan bases of those franchises - is not " a little secret" to anyone. At least not here.

Anyway on the topic of this trailer... since Sony released the trailer for Underworld: Awakening for the 3DS, and the trailer plays in full 3D... I wonder if they will also release the full trailer on the 3DS. That Youtube video is too blurry to notice all those details, like the gorilla/Licker cameo or whatever.

But then today is when the full trailer is released to the masses, so... maybe not.

Don't worry, I stopped paying to watch them after the second movie. I'm still allowed to comment on a movie series that took one of my favorite franchises in gaming, added a stupid character in it and made her rape anything that had to do with the original material.
Alice lost her powers in Afterlife and she's still kicking ass as if nothing happened. All I have to say is that I was laughing all the way during this small teaser and not because what I saw was funny, it was simply horrible and apparently they'll keep mixing zombies and Plagas again. I won't be surprised to see Ndesu pop up sooner or later.
Jill is probably the only positive thing of this whole mess but the fact that Chris won't be in this and Alice will replace him is disturbing.

I wasn't pointing at any one person in particular, it just gets rather trivial to constantly see the same comments over and over again about how stupid something is. To be honest, I wouldn't even classify this pseudo-ad/pseudo-trailer as a trailer for the movie. It seemed like nothing more than a stupid way of introducing Sony products while attempting to segue an upcoming movie.

I may have jumped the gun as looking back through the thread there weren't too many complaining, but regardless I know it's coming, and it's always from the same group of people. Yes, we get it. You hate everything.

I just need to avoid the movie threads. And no, I am not one of the movie sympathizers. I see them as pretty stupid beyond the second one, but I still don't rant and rave about how stupid something is based on a trailer. Though people are doing it with Revelations and Operation Raccoon City...Meh.

I think it would be a very good idea to get this trailer on the 3DS. Well not this specific trailer, which as Xander said I wouldn't even call a trailer but a Sony commercial, but in the future, I think it'd be cool to have a 3D trailer. I'm excited to see where he's gonna go with this, especially with the cliffhanger at the end of Afterlife. Although I'm still not sure how One, Rain, Carlos, etc. are gonna fit into this yet... We shall see!
