Wesker's body isn't around for anyone to duplicate even through that. That is probably why they want Jake to begin with, but it would be duplicates of Jake, not Wesker.

For the games story: Wesker was a powerful monster that was capable of all kinds of things. Be nice to have a few of those under your control, right?

The story in most RE games is ridikulas anyway. That's why the focus should be on how these games play.

Even if you listen to Simmons' talking to the real Ada, it makes the whole "clone" business pretty obvious. Add to that the fact that Carla Radames, already confirmed to be an Ada "clone" (more like double), has now been confirmed.

Except it wasn't pointless; just because one has earrings and one doesn't really isn't much of a confirmation at all. If we didn't already know that there are two, she could have easily not wore earrings with the jeans/shirt and have them on with the dress. Which is where "not much of a confirmation" comes from.

Yes, she could definitely wear two sets of clothes and magically un-pierce her ears while appearing at the same place at the same time, all the while working for Simmons and NOT working for Simmons.
