People were mad at ORC because it was a mediocre game that needed more development time and Q and A.Last edited by Dracarys; 06-09-2012, 03:27 AM.Beanovsky Durst - "They are not pervs. They are japanese."

Of course there are a billion double standards created just for ORC, I'm sure if RE6 did a version of the RPD with identical changes it would be a great recreation.PROJECT Umbrella - The BIOHAZARD/RESIDENT EVIL Compendium

In the R.P.D., the second floor double doors lead to the library. In ORC, they lead straight to a hallway that doesn't exist and Irons office... which is meant to be on the other side of the building. Same with the helipad.
The only faithful recreation in ORC is that one room in the clock tower.Last edited by News Bot; 06-09-2012, 03:41 AM.PROJECT Umbrella - The BIOHAZARD/RESIDENT EVIL Compendium

Originally posted by News Bot View PostWell, no. They also removed the library and every hallway connected to it (half the building), and moved Irons office and helipad to the opposite side of the building while injecting a hallway that doesn't exist in the building's layout.
Try again.
1. The door that leads from Helipad to a corridor, the corridor is now combined with the corridor outside the chiefs office (where the heli wreckage is in RE2).
2. Door to the save room on second floor from the same corridor is removed.
3. Door leading to upper floor of main hall from said save room is now a double door.
Whoo, big changes!
@canas, I am perfectly capable of having a disagreement without resorting to insults.Last edited by Dracarys; 06-09-2012, 03:57 AM.Beanovsky Durst - "They are not pervs. They are japanese."

In regards to BH6, something that irks me is that it's the first actual game since GS4 in 2003 to actually feature a proper date for the game's events, rather than just "2004" or "2009".Last edited by News Bot; 06-09-2012, 04:29 AM.PROJECT Umbrella - The BIOHAZARD/RESIDENT EVIL Compendium

If i remember correctly, ORC removed the hallway with the crows and Tyrant coming through, and basically had you coming through a non-existing door in the corner of the L-shaped hallway where the chopper crashed through. i just assumed they did that because it would be hard for four people to push themselves through that one hallway considering the game mechanic was not mean for single player action.
However if you want to be nit-picky they did not create Irons office faithfully. It looks similar, yes, but there were some drastic changes to the room (secret wall not having a picture, the table before his desk missing and the position of his desk, etc). One of the things I did not like was that they show a picture of him with a lady and a child which makes me think they were trying to say Irons had a wife and kid, which if you know the character, doesn't seem likely at all.
They also changed up the L-shaped hallway and the secretary reception office no longer exist and was replaced with what looks like just another square-shaped room before the main hallway. I just assumed Slant Six attempted to create the RPD as faithfully as possible but also allowing it for four player co-op which meant they needed to take some liberty.

IMO, I prefer an actual date but it seems they, CAPCOM, are really attempting to please all fans here. Did UMBRELLA CHRONICLES section of Umbrella's End not feature an actual date also? I thought it did.PROJECT Umbrella - The BIOHAZARD/RESIDENT EVIL Compendium
