    They are on topic, in a sense. I feel that those intelligent gentlemen were simply using football as an ingenious allegory to the rift that will inevitably form between Chris and Leon in the course of RE6. I scarcely believe that the denizens of these forums are capable of mindless arguments revolving around sports that resemble foolish games we all played as children, let alone the fact that they would use such paltry talk to derail this fine topic. Preposterous, good sir, preposterous indeed.

      You mean the ducking motion? You do that by pressing A while aiming but not moving left trigger in any direction, a direction makes you roll instead.


      I finally figured out what is wrong with camera...it is too low.

        I never said it was a bad thing. I just noticed how large it was when I was playing as her for the first time and dat ass was taking up a pretty big portion of my screen.

          lol hopefully she won't obscure any files we need to pick up during the game. Either way, that's the kind of partner I would want to have during a viral outbreak. It certainly beats running around with Piers. xD

          • Overall I liked the demo. Surely this is just another step towards making the series more action oriented but at this point it is useless to complain, the best way to accept and enjoy it for what it is.

            There are some noticeable influences from successful games of recent years, including sliding/jumping ala Assassin's Creed or a cover system which basically became a stamp of modern third person shooters. Put all those things together in a fun and smooth fashion and we have a pretty good gameplay mechanics.

            Some little touches I'd like to mention: the zombies in Leon's scenario have destructible bodies and realistic body movements depending on where the bullet hits it. That was pretty neat. On the other side I don't really appreciate how the enemies disappear once you kill them in Chris' and Jake's story arcs. The death effect does look cool (like those vampires in Blade movies), but still to me it's kind of a cheap way to save some memory for the game.

            Frame rate was pretty stable, though in Chris' scenario it did go to shit at some point. Hopefully screen tearing will be fixed or not present in the final version.

            The environments artistically are very well designed and atmospheric. Though I can't help but see how static they are. Being a fully 3D game in 2012 there's very little interactivity between the character and his surroundings. Not talking about an ability to 'investigate' the shelves or climb the ladders, but the impact that player can do to the world around him, such as - push the boxes or chairs out of the way instead of getting stuck on them like they are welded to the floor, shoot the light bulbs out, shatter the windows on cars or glass objects. Basically I think if Capcom decided to go with a AAA class third person shooter - then they can start implementing some realistic physics engine into their games, instead of only scripted falling objects that we have no control of.
            At least now the bullets leave texture holes in [most of] the walls, while Resident Evil 5 didn't even have that.

            • Completely torn on the Collectors Edition of RE6.

              I really want it, but am struggling to justify the £120/£130 asking price for what is essentially a bunch of fluff. Anyone else think it's grossly over-priced?

                Yes, take away the steelbook game which is £45 most places and you are left with £85, for that you get

                - An artbook
                - Some signed emblems (which do look decent, I admit)
                - Ivy hoody
                - A PS3 theme or Xbox avatar clothing
                - The fancy box which could be cardboard looking at it.

                For £85? Sod that, £85 total price game included and maybe there be some value in it.
