      • Finally played the demo hours ago, and it's a mixed bag for me- the reaction is most def dependent in part on what they decided to showcase. For one thing though, it leaves me wanting more and I'm glad they're all relatively short.

        +I like the painstaking way they go about the atmosphere in Leon's portion.
        -In that regard however, I'm with Dracarys about not being able to examine anything. Really hope it's just a limit for the demo, as is the restricted movement during "dramatic horror" moments. I seem to recall during the E3 presentation that you could, for example, pop the balloons, so who knows?
        +Zombies are back, and it's great that the game kinda trolls you by thrusting you in situations where they're RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU following a cutscene.
        +I was switching off with a friend and he remarked that one of the zombies ended up hitting another with a weapon trying to get at Leon. That's awesome, nice and chaotic.
        +Not much complaint about the Ustanak chase, the design of the monster, the Javo mooks accompanying it, etc.
        +/- On the Javo, I hope they're pulling an RE5 demo by limiting their mutations, because I'd hate for that feature to not be randomized. It's an even more freakish take on the plaga spawns and I like it.
        -My friend and I joked around, what in the hell is so dire that it drives Chris to drink anyway? If it's the loss of his men, that kind of crap has happened throughout his entire "career" fighting products of viral and parasitic outbreaks- most likely nobody to the magnitude of the alpha/bravo team in RE1 since then, and only now it breaks him? After RE5's ending, even?
        +/- The AI for the Javo in Chris's scenario was humorous at times. It's great when something that's supposed to kill you is just hanging around showing off its machete-fu to nobody in particular. LOL

        My hope is that the higher difficulty levels (I'll be starting on the game's equivalent to "veteran" I guess) changes everything from the enemy frequency, to their AI, to the incidence of Javo mutations, and so on. As people have said, it's a little strange that they decided to present such a gameplay limited section for Leon. On the whole, the new gameplay is altogether weird to me. In game cinematic aspects mixed with more traditional action gameplay. If we're just going by the demo, it seems like a breakup of different set pieces altogether. Nonetheless, it's fresh in my eyes and once again, I want more. 10/2 can't come soon enough, but I'll definitely be avoiding this thread until then.

        • I don't know if anyone mentioned it before. Did anyone else notice the blue medallions are back to break and collect? I found one in Leon's and one in Jake's when you play as Sherry.
          I loved Leon's scenario all out the atmosphere and zombies are just glorious, I loved Jake's as well the constant chasing is horrible and that monster actually makes me feel intimidated for once. Finally, Chris' is the biggest let down ever. Constant guns all over the place, CoD set to third person shooter mode. Not really shocked but disappointing. Graphics haven't gone a miss, they look fantastic. Cutscenes and gameplay blend into each other and I'm so shocked how cinematic the game looks, like a movie or something. I thoroughly enjoyed the demo and the only thing I dislike is Chis' scenario. Oh well. Not looking at any spoiler data leaks but that was inevitable. Haven't they learned or something?

              • It's also interesting to note that Jake's HUD appears to change depending on his outfit (it's probably actually related to when he's in Eastern Europe and when he's in China in the main game). Maybe he receives a new PDA when he and Sherry travel to China? When he's in Eastern Europe, as you can see in the demo, he has the green HUD, but in the Ustanak boss battle gameplay video, he has the blue HUD. This seems to carry over to Mercs, as well.

                • Seems they doing RE5s style of Mercs again, I preffered RE4s where you had infinite enemies untl time over. Hopefully they removed the melee time bonus at least so not another melee-athon.

                    The game seems fully of Low graphical presets :/ re5 came in 2009 and has better textures
