It seems that Capcom hasn't learned that while the death of Chris's teammates one-by-one may be tragic to Chris, the player doesn't give a shit because they're just a bunch of redshirts. They pulled this crap in RE5, too; no one cares about a bunch of random BSAA soldiers who die. The player has no connection to them. However, that whole snake segment is much cooler than the demo we got for Chris on 360. Hell, his Edonia demo was nice, too.
Leon's scenario was simply so dark that it seems like it will be more frustrating than fun. Were those recycled dogs from RE5 I saw? Lazy, lazy Capcom. I also don't like that the subway area looks linear beyond belief. Boring...
Does anyone know if they plan to add a map screen, or even a mini-map? RE is not RE without maps, and it will seriously disappoint me if one is not present.Mass production? Ridiculous!

I don't want to know the ending which I was thinking it was maybe a jokey hoax but if it's legitimately the ending i'm staying far far away.http://www.projectumbrella.net The BIOHAZARD/RESIDENT EVIL Compendium

Actually, you can feel Chris' feelings about his comrades. In the cells, when Carla taunts Chris and tells him what she is about to do, Chris desperately screams "Don't God damnit!" and later when the comrade closest to the door is melting and mutating, Chris is doing his best to extend his arm out so he can grab his comrade's hand, even though the guy is melting already(trailer scene was cut, but there is an image on the internet). The soldier also extends his arm, but right before the hands meet, his mutation takes over and is complete, gates open up, and the very same solider who seconds ago was trying to hold Chris' hand, now slams Chris like an enemy, with such force that Chris' head cracks the ground and messes up his head.
It doesn't matter if they are new/generic soldiers, the emotions are well done, and if you have even an ounce of imagination and feelings, you can work out the desperate situations.
Then there's a scene of BSAA soldiers putting dead and melted comrades' bodies onto stretchers and carrying them away. All these added give a very good overview of Chris' emotions and make us, the player, want to kill Carla as much as Chris does (which, btw, I'm sure he will. I speculate that Chris will kill Carla, Jake will kill Simmons and Leon will kill Ada, all makes sense if you think about it).
As for Capcom reusing RE5's dogs, it's not really being lazy considering the dogs have amazing design and attacks, so why recreate something when you already have something very good created and waiting to be re-used?
Really, people will always bitch about something. If one thing gets fixed, they'll just find something else to bitch about, because the day just can't go on without having to bitch about something. It's like a daily requirement for many, I wonder how they even manage to do it.

I have the same feelings as you about who kills who, Leon killing Ada would be a milestone in the series and really bring the dramatic horror Capcom are trying to bring with RE6, sometimes a man just has to do the right thing. If Ada does something so vile of course but right now I can't see what she could possibly do to cause Leon needing to take her out, kill Helena? but then why would she kill someone? isn't Ada trying to stop Carla and Simmons plan?

As for the dogs, I didn't see people bitch about the same dogs (The MA-39) in RE1 being in several other titles. These new iterations cooked up in RE5 are much better than the old ones and have only been used once. (soon to be twice)
Yes. People will always, ALWAYS bitch. It's like a vitamin that they require in order to function. Vitamin B(itch)sigpic

Though what do you mean "messes up his head"? Like he becomes emotionally unstable after that? But he already has all the damn good reasons to be on the edge.
Originally posted by shanemurphy View PostHow do we even know these dogs are the same? I don't think these ones will be splitting their heads apart, infact these dogs most likely will be the more basic Zombies dogs from the old games.Last edited by ElusionM; 07-15-2012, 04:54 PM.
