    Least playable? Lol?

I've played RE5 at least 20 times, RE4 only around 10 times. CVX far more than RE4, and RE1 easily around 50 times over my life. RE4 certainly does not have the most replay value, the classic REs have been played the most for the majority, and for the newer players it's definitely RE5 due to the more user-friendly gameplay, co-op, and other replay values. RE4 is just there.

I don't even remember how many times I've played the original Resident Evil 1, easily one of the best, most memorable, and fun game with a lot of replay-ability.

    • I've played Resident Evil for half of my life, and I can safely I've never played any other installment as much as I played Resident Evil 5, through levelling up weapons, various co-op sessions with different folks.etc.

      • So, judging by dialogue between Jake and Sherry during Jake's SDCC demo, Sherry apparently has a healing factor. Presumably due to the G-Virus.

Jake, on the other hand, does not.

        • I have so many playthroughs on RE4... It's insane. It gets to a point where you just blow through it, then by the time you're done, you learn of a strange little detail or hidden item that you never found. It's endless. Case in point, I've played RE4 damn near 30 times on regular and pro, and just NOW found a hidden red herb near the lake overlook. I had never found it before, the only reason I did find it was because I was looking for beetles (see my other beetle thread). Is that game shattering? No, but it makes me think "What else have I missed?!" then playthrough AGAIN and find more. XD There's just something about RE4 that RE5 was never able to capture.

I just thought about this... RE4 has just as much exploration as previous installments, and probably more. Not in areas in which you physically explore with your character, but things you explore in your mind. There is just so much detail that was put in the game, you'll see something and instantly begin to wonder about it. The game is covered in the slightest fog of mystery that sets your imagination in overdrive and keeps you hooked. The only other RE game to come close to that kind of intrigue is REmaster, and even then, it just doesn't hook my imagination the same way. Something about the setting in RE4 is just perfect.

          • I rarely miss things in most games, because on every game on my first playthrough, I explore EVERY inch of each area. Watch with RE6 for example, will get it on launch, but whereas most of the fans will have it completed within 2 days, I'll complete it within a week (of course, family, social and university life takes time too), but it just has become a habit that I explore environments in games like RE, MGS, Uncharted etc on the first playthroughs.

Thus, I rarely find any new things later on in the game (there are exceptions obviously), with RE4 being one of those games where I have not been surprised by new findings much at all really. The classics have more multi-playthroughs=finding new things than the modern REs, notably RE1, RE3 and CVX for me.

                    Makes sense.

After administration, it affects a creature's cells and bestows superior vitality and regeneration ability.
What video is this in anyway Arch? The CU stream doesn't have any audible dialogue.

Am I the only one who thinks the Chrysalids are fucking awesome? Love those designs. Reminds me of the scrapped Golgotha and Zeiram enemies from BH2.

I didn't meant that they have to put old boss monsters or various cameos to make it like the old games, the direction is taking by this time is another.

I watched more videos, and I was wrong with the CoD stuff, it's more like a modern Beat' em up, many enemies, you have to smash stuff to find objects, there is someone that tells you to move, etc. Not that is not fun, but where are the "I'm out of ammo I'm gonna die" or the "where did I have to go?".

Now the games tells you where to go, what you have to do, I mean, the guy tells Chris to wait, and then the game UI "wait till..." c'mon my ears works, and also, were the hell did I go if the game won't let me move if I don't do what it wants (kill more enemies) anyway. One of the worst moments was in the new Gametrailers video of the Leon scenario, when Hunnigan tells him where the key is. How did she know where the key is? We lost the exploring moments and they in return gave to us wrestling moves to fight enemies, also Sherry knows exactly where you have to go, this is very sad.

They also have to stop making cliché scenes, the part when Leon have to find the keys of the car was awesome, but it ended in a facepalm when they where (like in every damn film) in the upper part and the car that after a roll over it explodes, we are not all 10 year kids, they have to stop making implausible games. Try to imagine the scene from the distance, they take the car, evade the zombies, and after 200m they crash, also he wasn't even watching the road, and if they didn't crashed there was no way to escape from there, why he didn't slow down?

Is not that I analyze all the stuff frame by frame, but if what is shown is out of this world I can't ignore it and pretend to have see nothing.

                            • You can turn the HUD and waypoint marker completely off, so there you go you have the option to play it completely HUDless and up to you to use the inventory for your ammo info and it's up to you to find were to go.

You have to use melee because you can run out of ammo, I have noticed your main weapon runs out the most if you do not explore for the box's.

So....people wanted the AI to not get in the way as much and you're complaining about the AI Sherry knowing were to go? because having a AI partner not knowing were to go would make things so much better? Also play the game with a friend like a co-op game is made for.

Leon crashes a car because a Zombie is right beside him and also a throw back to RE2 and that's a bad thing? Lets see how you handle a car when the mouth of a Zombie is so close to taking a lump off your flesh.

                              Come on man.
