  • Well at least the herbs make more sense in RE6 then the rest of the series, mixing them into tablets now instead of...eating them? smoking them? I could never imagine Jill or Chris just taking this big bite out of a herb plant lol

    • I am also loving the music and all the amazing details. It's like the most violent episode of "No Reservations" ever.

      • I think I heard some of the more unusual music choice the Capcom unity guy was talking about, like a mixture of normal suspenseful and maybe that Chinese chimping or something?

You have to use melee because you can run out of ammo, I have noticed your main weapon runs out the most if you do not explore for the box's.

So....people wanted the AI to not get in the way as much and you're complaining about the AI Sherry knowing were to go? because having a AI partner not knowing were to go would make things so much better? Also play the game with a friend like a co-op game is made for.

Leon crashes a car because a Zombie is right beside him and also a throw back to RE2 and that's a bad thing? Lets see how you handle a car when the mouth of a Zombie is so close to taking a lump off your flesh.

          Come on man.
The HUD is quite interesting, if they don't make you change scenario every 20 minutes, because changing the HUD colours and scheme too frequently leads you into confusion, but I was referring to the not really wanted instructions.

I'm criticising the Wrestling moves, not the melee attack in general, who in this kind of situation will be taking the time to do such things?

Didn't even played RE5 that much to complain about the AI, which is not supposed to led you as he/she is in that area for the first time like you, they have killed the exploration part, not that you will be lost without the AI guiding you, there are only limited ways that you can take and maybe only one. In the other games you can do some stuff in a random order, and take your time to look around.

He was going at something like 40-50Km/h, push the brake with your right foot, and as you are in a straight you can leave the hands from the driving wheel and fight the zombie, but the first thing he did was to turn rapidly left and then to right, and then, rolled up and explode, maybe if he opened the door the zombie could have fallen away, but then, where did he was going? The road is blocked by burning cars, and he could have seen that exactly after the second turn, as there are no visual obstacles.

Anyway, as I already said, the game looks fun to play, except from the fact that from Resident Evil it has only the name, it feels like a Resident Evil only in the Sherry scenario, "that guy" run almost out of ammo and instead of go straight he turn back to take cover, a little bit of time to think how kill an enemy instead of shooting him till he dies, since it's the only thing they let you do in this game, less ammo, more fun, you then have to be creative and think how to use your bullets.

          • You don't have to change the scenario's every 20 minutes, you can play each one straight through OR you can switch which one you wanna play at anytime, I agree if it did switch like one whole game the HUD's would be confusing but you don't, I for one will be playing the whole game with no on screen HUD or waypoint marker

I think herbs worked being applied in the injured zone.

Either that or smoking them and going through Raccoon City higher than the Tour Eiffel.

              • In Raccoon City you would have to be high to avoid just staying in a corner and crying!

                  • ^ Lol.

I understand what SonicBlue is saying. This series has gone downhill ever since the removal of exploration, the focus on melee combat, and the addition of co-op.

Does anyone know if RE6 will have a map screen, or even a mini-map in the corner? Maps are a classic element of RE, and I'd really like for Capcom to stop destroying all of them.
                    Mass production? Ridiculous!

                    • You want exploration? turn the HUD off and go find things yourself! Buildings for the most part do not have maps.

                      • I'm strongly encouraged about the amount of exploration by what's been shown and talked about thus far. I think 4 had enough, so as long as it's along those lines, I'm fine. RE5 had shit all for exploration (ie. NONE!). In fact, I can't remember a single part where you even backtrack once, outside of the first marshland area.

Now, I know backtracking doesn't constitute all the exploration people are talking about, but it's still a valid point: RE5 was a funnel, pushing you right through from point A to point B, with maybe one or two single rooms per chapter you could go into off the beaten path.

                        • Basically, Lost In Nightmares is the way most of RE5 should have played. They gave us a hub, made us explore and find some stuff, solve (easy as pie) puzzles, funnel through a few creepy corridors, then have another hub where we battle creatures that outnumber and out-power us. That LIN style really should have made up 50% of the game.

I play the demo with the HUD off always, but I still want a map. It's simply more immersive that way. I'm sure there won't be a full-screen map like the games had up until RE5 (another downside of co-op), but I'd settle even for a mini-map.

I'll be okay with RE6 if it has the amount of exploration that RE4 had, too. Many people say that RE4 was ultra-linear, and while it may have been more linear than the classic games, it was like a maze compared to RE5...

I know; it's one of the reasons I greatly dislike that game, but I don't expect RE6 to be much different. Why? Co-op. The typical gamer of this generation is lazy and doesn't like to get lost, and it's even more frustrating to them while playing with a friend. Yes, I know there's the objective markers/button, but still. Those who play single-player games like RE4 seem to be a bit more patient, and developers know this.

I've played RE5 in co-op with my brother a few times, and he would get mad because I would always explore as much as I could, shooting lamps for treasures or reading files, for example. He just wanted to "experience" the game - the "story." He's the type of casual gamer whom I refer to.
