Unless they made Ada a liar in Damnation as well (and thus needed to go by her lying character for the interview as well to keep surprises), Ada is officially a member of the BSAA.Last edited by News Bot; 08-02-2012, 01:27 AM.PROJECT Umbrella - The BIOHAZARD/RESIDENT EVIL Compendium

Originally posted by News Bot View PostOld interview. Latest one (http://www.starpulse.com/news/Britta...reviews_reside) is much less "official". They also said that Ada worked for Wesker's organization and are currently saying that she works for Neo-Umbrella. She doesn't. She's lying in the trailer and they are keeping up the pretense because doing otherwise would be a spoiler.
No where in the interview does he say Ada doesn't work for the BSAA. If anything, they tried to "cover up" what they let slip in the previous interview, that Ada does work for the BSAA. Now they wanted to cover up the slip and tried to sprinkle it with confusion with the whole "why would Ada work for the BSAA?" "Well, she does, watch the movie and find out why!"
And she did work for Wesker. As for Neo-Umbrella, that can either be to set up the plot for Carla (Chris mentions the lady in blue works for Neo-Umbrella), so either Ada or Carla, or both as two entities or one, can be working for Neo-Umbrella.
They're right. Ada is mysterious. She has worked for Wesker, betrayed him, worked for some "Organization", apparently works for the BSAA, and also Neo-Umbrella.

You're misinterpreting the entire thing. They basically say the summation of "Does she really? Find out!" which is pretty similar to the current situation with Neo-Umbrella and the previous situation with The 3rd Organization, and even further back with the rival company... and even further back with Umbrella... Ada's affiliations are usually always false even if she is outright stated to work for them. In this case, she is just deliberately lying in order to get closer to whatever her objective is, just as she doesn't tell Luis that she works for a sociopathic neo-human and lets Leon believe she works for him. She uses her affiliations to manipulate people just as much as she uses her charm. Posing as a member of the BSAA allows her to carry out whatever interest she has in the B.O.W.s being used in the Eastern Slav Republic without revealing her true organization, which is still completely unknown (and not the BSAA) and would be totally silly for a spy.
If she did work for the BSAA, that would mean they have samples of both the dominant and subordinate Plagas. In BH5, they clearly don't. In fact, all of their information on the Plagas comes solely from Leon's report on them. There hasn't been a single hint that her organization is the BSAA. That would also mean that they deliberately allowed the Plagas to become a bioterrorism threat since they outright ordered Ada to send Wesker the subordinate Plaga. Also, in 2004, the BSAA was a very small civilian-led group of only a small number of people. Jumping to a conclusion based on something a character notorious for being a double and triple agent as well as an outright liar says is, well, silly.Last edited by News Bot; 08-02-2012, 02:05 AM.PROJECT Umbrella - The BIOHAZARD/RESIDENT EVIL Compendium

Exactly, just because she would work for the BSAA, doesn't mean she "works" for the BSAA. She could have used the BSAA credentials to gain access and privileges she otherwise would not have. Her working for the BSAA doesn't mean she is or has to be a full-on samaritan like, say Chris for example.
As for the Plagas, again, she could have had been pretending to work for the BSAA while the Plagas samples were collected for her true organization, Neo-Umbrella, Alex, or else. Of course the BSAA would not have them if Ada was never a loyal (or "true" for a better term) BSAA agent to begin with.

She's not a member in general. It's an obvious lie. You're stretching the theory quite thin already since according to this theory Ada was working for not one (BSAA), not two (The 3rd Organization), not three (Umbrella's rival company), but four (Neo-Umbrella) separate organizations in BH4. That's just ridiculous. What would even be the point of her working for the BSAA in BH4 anyway since they 1) Didn't exist at the time and 2) She literally doesn't do a single thing that would benefit them in any way since they were a small civilian-led group that didn't exactly have the means to access confidential U.S. Government information that the government kept secret from itself.Last edited by News Bot; 08-02-2012, 02:14 AM.PROJECT Umbrella - The BIOHAZARD/RESIDENT EVIL Compendium

The 3rd could have been what became part of the BSAA, or it could have been Neo-Umbrella, or something totally. None of it still shoots down the the possibility of her having a BSAA ID card, for whatever intentions. Her words in the trailer instantly had me go "she's lying", but then the developers confirm she is working for them, and then the newer interview has them covering up something they let slip. Working for the BSAA doesn't mean she really is "working" for them.Last edited by ElusionM; 08-02-2012, 02:22 AM.

She doesn't work or "work" for the BSAA. She is not a member or even remotely affiliated with them. She is claiming to be a member in order to gain access to whatever her objective is. She is a spy. That's what spies do. And it is exactly what Ada has done, having previously posed as an Umbrella employee.
The BSAA are not "the organization" she works for in Separate Ways. CAPCOM are deliberately throwing people off in regards to Ada by claiming she works for two organizations she does not and by claiming she is evil. In the end, none of it is actually true, and both the character and CAPCOM themselves are lying for the sake of maintaining some surprise and mystery.Last edited by News Bot; 08-02-2012, 02:32 AM.PROJECT Umbrella - The BIOHAZARD/RESIDENT EVIL Compendium

Can anyone translate this for the site about Agent Hunt?
Tried with Google but I couldn't make out if only 2 players will be able to be B.O.W.s or 4.Last edited by Vito; 08-02-2012, 04:32 AM.
