The Claire pandering is nauseating at times. Matched only by the Jilluminados.
Everyone complains about their favorite character not showing up whenever a new game is announced. This is really no different.
At least Claire showing up in RE6 would make more sense than Ark being in Damnation.
Still, people really need to get over it and move on. I don't know how many more different ways they can say "Claire and Jill will NOT be in Resident Evil 6!" before people will understand.

If people keep bringing it up then when it comes time for DLC characters Capcom really have no excuse for not adding them if they want to claim to be doing what the fans want.
Beanovsky Durst - "They are not pervs. They are japanese."
I don't care what they do, as long as they give us Billy in RE6 extra modes and Billy for RE7! Damn you Capcom for creating amazing characters who have so much potential and then throwing them into an abyss.
Thing is that you could put Jill in pretty much any game because of her job
You can't do that with Claire and the "Caught in a Bad Biohazard" card has been played with her the 3 times she has showed up her ass
That's not really true. In CV Claire knew the dangers and risks and still threw herself into danger. Granted the whole T-Virus outbreaks across the Antarctic base and Rockfort Island were accidents, but she was still already committed to arguably more dangerous odds (trained commandos armed with rifles and attack choppers).
I don't get how people are so easily excusing Claire's canonical absence from the series. She flew to France to storm an Umbrella base while looking for her bother and killed dozens of armed soldiers before she was captured. She's not an enlisted soldier or special agent, but she's still ready to submerge herself in overwhelming odds and kill shittons of people. In fact how many other RE heroes even kill actual people? Not just zombies or infected, but human beings. From everything we've seen, I'm pretty sure Claire has the highest bodycount collected in that regard, and if she's willing to do stuff like that to find her brother, why WOULDN'T she come to his aid during his six months drunken stupor throughout Europe?
I understand she's not in RE6, etc etc. However, having a game that features the three other characters closest to her, including the return of Sherry, but not having Claire herself feels like a massively wasted opportunity, especially since Claire hasn't been in a new game for over ten years.
Arguably Claire has much reason to be in any future game given her role in Terrasave, or however it's spelt. Given that Bio6 focuses on global bio-terrorism, they'll be a lot of people affected.
(This isn't a Claireilluminatos post, just saying).
I can see why folks would want Claire in the game; she certainly has more narrative relevance, given her ties to Chris, Leon, and Sherry, than Piers Nivens, who seems to be a poor man's replacement for an already underdeveloped character. Tweak the story a little, and I could even see her as Leon's partner over Helena, and that would likely be a better dynamic given the history between the two.
Honestly, the storytelling potential of a game featuring Leon, Claire, Chris, Sherry, Ada, and Albert Wesker's son is something that could well have eclipsed what we're actually getting.
Though I'm happy for Claire to sit this out, I do wish Helena was Angela from Degeneration, it would of been a fantastic connection. But Helena is also cool.

I agree but I also like that Helena has big ties to the story, probably something like she had to do something bad to protect her sister but still very important to the story.

Except Terrasave doesn't move in until the threat has been neutralized. It's a relief organization. Claire would have to be caught in the middle of another outbreak. She's not going to dive headlong into the fray, not anymore.
Leon and Chris are the ones who belong on the front lines. Jill too, sure, but it makes sense for her to have either retired or taken a desk job as an adviser after her ordeal with Wesker.
