Resident Evil 6

I had a dream the other night about RE6, but like dreams they get weird so heres a summary.

Alex Wesker was in RE6 in this dream, his appearance was a mixture of Liquid Snake, Cloud and Wesker.

He had long blonde hair and one of his arms was longer then the other, but like Cloud in Advent Children his costume covers this longer arm.

And I shit you not it had a transformer boss...

About the only way I could see Claire working from a playable standpoint was if she was at Tall Oaks to show moral support for the President and/or Leon, and then she and Leon teamed up to escape the town after the bioterrorist attack. You would obviously have to remove Helena from the equation, but then Leon and Claire would have no reason to head to the cathedral.

Also, I can't see Leon letting Claire tag along when he decides to head to China.

I'm pretty sure he'd be happy to let Claire come along. In Degeneration he shows how confident he is in her capabilities and doesn't bat an eye to give her a gun and some orders about what to do.

Except Terrasave doesn't move in until the threat has been neutralized. It's a relief organization. Claire would have to be caught in the middle of another outbreak. She's not going to dive headlong into the fray, not anymore.

I don't see why not. She dropped out of college to do exactly that. If Sherry, Chris, or Leon were at risk I have no doubt she'd ditch everything else to ensure their safety. Her extraordinary tenacity to help others, in spite of the odds or danger against herself, is one of her defining characteristics.

But he also didn't have much choice, given the circumstances.

Given what they would likely be facing in China (and the fact that they probably wouldn't even know for certain what would await them there), I think it would be perfectly reasonable for Leon to ask Claire to stay behind and sit this one out. Just because she's capable doesn't mean he's going to invite her to join him.

I'm leaning toward yes, simply because the references, especially in LiN are too much for Capcom to ignore in a potential sequel, and there's far too much of Jake untold.

What we need is epilogues part 2. Something like RE3's.

"Claire had enough of fighting zombies and shit, decided to join NGO's, and try to find a boyfriend who doesn't mutate into a giant murdering axe-wielding green thing and lived happily ever after."

That's not really true. In CV Claire knew the dangers and risks and still threw herself into danger. Granted the whole T-Virus outbreaks across the Antarctic base and Rockfort Island were accidents, but she was still already committed to arguably more dangerous odds (trained commandos armed with rifles and attack choppers).

I don't get how people are so easily excusing Claire's canonical absence from the series. She flew to France to storm an Umbrella base while looking for her bother and killed dozens of armed soldiers before she was captured. She's not an enlisted soldier or special agent, but she's still ready to submerge herself in overwhelming odds and kill shittons of people. In fact how many other RE heroes even kill actual people? Not just zombies or infected, but human beings. From everything we've seen, I'm pretty sure Claire has the highest bodycount collected in that regard, and if she's willing to do stuff like that to find her brother, why WOULDN'T she come to his aid during his six months drunken stupor throughout Europe?

I understand she's not in RE6, etc etc. However, having a game that features the three other characters closest to her, including the return of Sherry, but not having Claire herself feels like a massively wasted opportunity, especially since Claire hasn't been in a new game for over ten years.

Considering one of the last locations that both Jake and Chris visit is an island with an underwater facility, and that it is off a ways from Lanshiang, I'd say it was Alex Wesker's. Alex was last reported to have a military facility in the South Seas before he "vanished". I'd say he's been cooperating with Derek Simmons all of this time, and just went ghost to spite Spencer after having discovered a feasible "regenerating" virus. I have a hunch that the man in the white coat seen with Derek in the early trailers, performing an experiment involving a Chrysalid, is Alex. I have this strange feeling that the whole "Jake is Albert's son" is some conspiracy concocted by Alex himself. But let's hope we'll get an explanation.

That'd be a valid complaint if they were shaping up Jake to be Wesker 2.0.
