The game has probably the worst individual QTE ever to be conjured. It gives absolutely zero indication of what you actually have to do. I'm sure anyone who's encountered it yet will know which one I'm talking about. I don't know what CAPCOM were counting on when they added that.Last edited by News Bot; 09-28-2012, 10:21 AM.PROJECT Umbrella - The BIOHAZARD/RESIDENT EVIL Compendium

some QTE in this game is kind broken or problematic sometimes
so far i get annoyed by (qte some spoilers from 3 campains)
Spoiler:
Leon: boss fight in the train, we have to do a headshot the bow when the monster runs to shock on you, but there are no hint or indication to do that. And its hard to shoot, i died a lot
Leon: In crap act 3 the boss escape make me dies 5 times in a row, just because i had to reload my weapon during the qte event, like: lose or lose situation, because if i dont reload i die, if i do i also die, lol
Chris: Some serious QTE timming in a boss fight, you have to escape and its annoying because there a spot you have to do movements perfectly or otherside you will die alot
Jake: playing as sherry, if you don't run in front of jake (he don't get damage or affected by tank shoots).. a tank will AWAYS shoot and kill you
also, cinematic in qte is amazing
but the cameras changing during qte sometimes give us a partial or temporary lost of character controlLast edited by HOTvirus; 09-28-2012, 02:48 PM.

Thanks...
Damn though, I'm so jealous of all of you playing this game early. I have to wait until Tuesday morning since my local Best Buy is not having a midnight release.

Guys, didn't finish all 4 campains yet
Ada campaign is the best so far, the most close to RE i could see in this whole game
The game still linear, but you have a little more backtracking, puzzles, itens and keys to combine or go search, scenario interaction puzzles. Things are not like those hardcore point n click adventures puzzles, but enough to have some sure about "they still know how to do resident evil".
Ada (most close to re4) > Leon > Chris > Jake
Jake still action oriented like chris, nothing like RE3 as we could expected. Ustanak didn't tracking us hard all the time like nemesis did with jill. But its fun as an action game
Chris has an boss fight most tense than whole leon gameplay (the cloaking snake), perfect combination of scenario, background music, fight styleLast edited by HOTvirus; 09-28-2012, 07:05 PM.

I'm not a fan of the QTE thing myself, and why Capcom put so many of them in this game when they know that most of the fans hate them is beyond me.Mass production? Ridiculous!

watched the endings on Youtube as I stopped caring about the series about a month back, yeah..the endings are all flat. While its not that I don't know anything about the story or characters(watched some walk through) etc...the endings are all just empty cut scenes to me.
To me, the series is officially dead now. They cant stop making things bigger, louder and sillier, and as a writer...Thats not always the answer to a sequel...well, least in my opinion.
With all the clever stuff they did in the game....the endings, and characters, and the themes were all depressingly cliche.
Not that RE hasn't had its shares of cliche, but things have been getting hammier and hammier since 2004 and that just takes away a lot of the fun and stuff I used to love.

Every ending in every BH game has been "flat". They consist of a sunrise and optimism. Perhaps the occasional helicopter. In this game, it's the scenes before the credits roll that are great.Last edited by News Bot; 09-28-2012, 07:31 PM.PROJECT Umbrella - The BIOHAZARD/RESIDENT EVIL Compendium

they cant re-release more and more versions of the old games and spin offs based on older games, they've done this untill the limit. so, it will be interesting to wait for their next releases for the future.
