Just tried out The Mercenaries mode. Jake is exactly like Midnight Wesker, the same time extending potential, right down to the same load out.

I'd hardly call the mobility options functional, either. In order to switch to different types of grenade rounds, you have to go into ammo HUD, highlight the grenades - then press (I think it was) LB to get to the weapon branch out menu, then go through the list to specifically choose grenade launcher and then scroll to which type of round you wanted (acid, nitrogen, explosive.) After that, you have to go back into the weapons menu and equip the grenade launcher if you didn't already have it out and reload.
What idiot has been using the triangle/Y inventory menu to equip stuff? The only I used that in all 4 campaigns was to delete items or manually mix herbs. Agent Hunt mode sucks, aside getting put into games during sections where impossible to attack the player so you're effective just sitting with thumb up arse, when you do attack the player 9/10 times the AI saves him, providing the AI didn't specifically target you on the way to the player and use an instant kill attack.

One amusing moment was when my friend and I ran away from a horde of zombies and went to one of those dual-player door open prompts. We had only just both tapped O when a zombie rushed in the middle of the frame, essentially going "me too me too me too!" Couldn't stop laughing at that, especially since the poor guy was just left behind.

I still haven't got the chance to play it yet, but i hope i can choose to play without a partner because working with partners is not my style, it takes away the thrill and makes the game less scarier, also i want to kick some ass comfortably without babysitting my stupid partner who keeps ruining my progress by dying each time from its stupidity, especially in professional mode !

If the game had been more environmentally open and allowed the player to explore, and had far less annoying QTEs (which never consist of good gameplay), it would have been much better. The level of content is amazing, but quantity is not as important as quality to me.
I think this game could really benefit from an extra, non-timed side mode like RAID. I'm only starting chapter 4 of Leon's campaign, but thus far it seems that the campaigns will not be as replayable as they were in 4 or even 5. It's just too mind-numbingly linear and filled with boring QTEs.Mass production? Ridiculous!
