  • Wow, gotta say, not a fan of the cross hairs at all in that screenshot. Don't know how I never noticed until now, but that's a pretty big disappointment in itself to me. I could of sworn I've seen the laser pointer in other screenshots/the first trailer, unless Capcom suddenly just decided to get rid of it, which would be extremely dumb. Hoping it has to do with the control scheme, like RE5 had "shooter controls". Hoping you can change it back to RE4s and have the option to turn off cross hairs and turn on laser sights.

    • Reminds me of when Mikami requested changes in the Remake - Crimson Heads - just to show that it wasn't the same game as before.

Maybe they're changing stuff in 6 so that less people will be able to say "it's RE5 all over again".

Check out RE6s HUD here...I gotta say, this shit looks goofy really.
Guy from Reddit said it looks like a tilted version of the Dead Space menu, not being a Dead Space player I came across this and cant help but wonder :/.

I actually like the CONCEPT of that HUD. It's relatively small and translucent. I get the feeling we'll need maximum visibility to survive in this game. As for the laser sights, they will more than likely be present, seeing how both pistols in the Chris/Leon showdown have laser sights mounted on the accessory rails. Not to mention you can see the laser in use in the trailers, both in the actual gameplay bits and the Zombie president showdown,

        • Most likely you'll have to find/buy the laser attachments. I'm glad they're not just gonna give it to you for free. A step in the right direction.

So you only get a laser pointer if you buy the DLC that provides it...

We don't know that this is the case, however. They may be present from the start and that screen is just depicting the PC version crosshairs (They beta test these games on the PC's they create them on emulating the console all the time) or it just could be an early build. We simply don't know.

              • Which is why I said "most likely".

EDIT: I meant "in-game money" not actual DLC.

I know, but you have to be careful. When it comes to RE6, rumors become flame worthy monsters and get way out of proportion. XD

lol You think that now, just wait until 1-2 months out. People will either be ranting against or raving for the game. Then my friend, all hell will break loose. XD

I just wanted an excuse to use that McDuck macro... we know next to nothing about the gameplay.

                        • They'll be ranting and raving, if RE5 was any indication, with some fans proclaiming doom and gloom (me) and others saying it's gonna be awesome no matter what, and have zombie giraffes (other people).

Of course, we just have to wait and see who is right (me again).

I am wondering how they're gonna deal with weapon upgrades. As misplaced as he was, the Merchant was way cooler than, 'Hey, you're between chapters, wanna magically trade some of the stuff you looted from those murdered Africans?'

The merchant was in RE5... in spirit. He was magically running the show between chapters.

                            • Screw the Merchant. I never want to see him again in a RE game.

                              • The merchant wasn't Jar-Jar, he had a small purpose in the game and was an amusing little character. I liked that you could customize stuff in the middle of a level, rather than at the beginning or end of it...and if you wanted to be a dick you could just shoot him .
