Screw the Merchant. I never want to see him again in a RE game.

The merchant wasn't Jar-Jar, he had a small purpose in the game and was an amusing little character. I liked that you could customize stuff in the middle of a level, rather than at the beginning or end of it...and if you wanted to be a dick you could just shoot him .

Hated the merchant system, such waste just because want to swap to different weapons in inventory.

I loved the merchant system. Because it allowed me to SELL weapons/items that I no longer needed.

In many games you keep collecting weapons/items that later in the game end up never to be used again. being able to sell them is quite a trip. The magic boxes and the RE5 system were functional but not as interesting. With the merchant you always were thinking "ok, I'll upgrade this weapon and sell this other one plus some items, etc. etc." so you were looking forward to meeting him. Not so with the boxes. You just went there to dump or pick up things. Boring.

I think that Jake Mueller is actually the son of the Merchant, so he must be in RE6. HE MUST! (Chains self to entrance sign at Capcom in protest)

But it lacks the psychological boost of actually having the merchant there, peddling his wares. And who knows how to kiss ass.

Sometimes after a gun fight or storming a castle, you need some of that "human/ganado touch".

Lol, Co-op is the one thing I DON'T like about the new RE's, strange considering I love everything else. XD
