News Bot got Ten infraction points. You, Dracarys and Dark Chris got Five each for exacerbating the situation. If you look at the bottom of each of your side bars you'll see yours has 0/1 (5) with the (5) being the number of points. News Bot, on the other hand, has 0/1 (10), as ten points is standard for an infraction insulting another member.

Next time, if you have a question about the how and why of the infractions, I suggest you use private messages rather than posting something...incorrect...on a public forum.

why isn't newsbot banned then? considering his behavior, he should have enough infractions for 10 bans or more.

Over his time here, News Bot has acquired a fair few points. However, unless the circumstances are exceptional, Infraction points wear off after a certain time (15 days in the four cases here today) and 30 at one time are required for a temp ban. Infractions alone won't get you permanently banned - that requires a constant level of bad behaviour that News Bot hasn't displayed, since most of his infractions come from being baited by other members into acts of anger. So long as he's not wound up he behaves well enough. Although it would certainly be helpful if he could control his temper better...

Whenever someone achieves a ban, there case is reviewed and a decision made as to whether there history means they should relieve a permanent ban. Fortunately, we've only had to do that with a small number of users...most of the people in our banned accounts list are spambots and alternative accounts of people who can't handle being banned and can't behave well enough to avoid one of us looking a little deeper into there account.

So since there is no thread for the movie DAMNATION besides being in the news update area, does anyone know what's going on? I see it was pushed back to late October for Japan but there was no mention of a U.S. or PAL release date. I thought, like others, this movie was serving as some sort of build up to RE6 but doesn't it seem sort of pointless if the movie comes out after the game is released?

I know there are three different locations: Tall Oaks, Edonia Republic, and Lanshiang for RE6. I was assuming that DAMNATION tied into Edonia Republic but each time I hear more on RE6 it seems to have engulfed more of what DAMNATION was. I'm starting to wonder if they removed stuff from DAMNATION for RE6 and decided to create different material for the movie which may explain why it was pushed further back from a summer release date to the fall.

Thoughts, comments, concerns?

Damnation won't tie too heavily into Biohazard 6 I feel, as it has to be marketed to people who haven't necessarily played the games as well as the fans. I think it will have a tie in similar to that of Degeneration into 5. We may see the origins of the C Virus or a J'avo but nothing too heavy.

Unfortunately for us I think it will just be a standalone story with Leon.

It must be Jake. He may have a small cameo and Leon will think nothing of him until he meets him again in 6.

Degeneration did a nice job of standing on it's own and also introducing new people to the series (although I question peoples logic of starting with RE#16 in the series) as well as setting up the prelude for RE5 in terms of Tricell buying WillPharma (the only thing to connect that movie to RE5).

When I first saw Damnation I immediately became interested because we never seen the bio-organic weapons being used in an application for warfare. However with RE6 being this year and having the three different locations and one of them being in Eastern Europe, I am wondering if they decided to change up the movie drastically from what it's original intention was.

As for the mystery guy being Jake, I guess it could make sense. It would be an easier introduction for when Leon meets Sherry and sees Jake with them. And according to RE6, Jake was a mercenary assisting in the fight before that game takes place. I guess he must have shaved his head then.





Although I was thinking along the lines of Ark Thompson but I guess it's possible to be Jake. EDIT: Actually, now that I look at the pictures side by side, it seems Alex is more well built but it's still possible. And wait, Rebecca was supposed to be in this movie originally? Maybe they are saving her for RE6? Didn't they say they a lot more characters to be announced for RE6?
