Yup. Small contained stories would be nice. Either as prequels or post RE6...

I know this might sound crappy, but I wouldn't mind a prequel about how Progenitor was discovered/developed and Umbrella was founded (there are files and info about that, but an actual game would be nice), in 1960's-1970's... No superhuman, uberwarfare shit, basic technology and weaponry, that I would like to see. RE7 would be all about space alien zombies if the trend continues like this.

Yes, RE6 is going to be a big blow-out affair. Pearls clutched, fainting couches in place. Can we set the nerd rage aside and enjoy it for what it is? This isn't a "reboot" per se. Maybe it's more like a pivot. They're trying to unify everything that's happened up to this point and take the main storylines to completion, and then we can go from there.

Seeing as they paired in Jake and Sherry together for their nigh-super human prowess makes me wonder as to why they didn't bother making 'Manuela' a third-wheeler in that team, since she was in the US government's custody at the end of Darkside Chronicles (Canon ending)...unless she's still not stable to be out and about with her need of constant organ transplants every so often to keep her from fully mutating.

Okay can I just take a minute here and say I am LOVING the C-Virus so far, closet thing we have had to the G Virus and I do love my mutations in Resi, heres the scan showing a small example of the dynamic mutation in the enemies. So even if the enemies can still use guns they will still have that monster side to them which to me is a nice compensation.

I liked the ending where Manuela died better, to be honest. It made more sense; she could finally be at peace in her homeland where her family died. Her dissolving into the air was ridiculously stupid, though. This series has gotten more and more absurd with each new release. I miss it when it was actually about smaller-scale evil science.

One thing I don't get is that they never explained how she would have survived in government custody, given her need for constant organ transplants (as you mentioned). This is why I preferred the ending where she died.

Haha, I loved that scene. Birkin's evil laughter is so canned and hilarious. The newer games lack this charm.

I wondered this also, seems very impractical to keep her alive, they may have froze her like Alexia, but would they even want to create another T-Alexia? Infinitely safer to just let her die.

They basically said: she won't. Unless the government has spare organs lying around. But since she was able to retain her will under the influence of the virus (like Steve), it's unlikely they'll let her die as she is important to developing countermeasures against t-Veronica.
