I'm not sure how anyone can honestly say CODE: Veronica is more polished than any of the other games in the series.
I'm really not. I get it if you like it better than the other games in the series, but the most polished? Yeahhh, no.
Anyway, back to Resident Evil 6. I never would have caught this if Welsh hadn't pointed it out over on Project Umbrella, but at the end of the E3 trailer when Leon and company are pinned down by gunfire (after Chris says, "Leon, where are you?!"), they're being shot at by Simmons and government agents, not J'avo.Last edited by Archelon; 06-10-2012, 06:27 PM.

Ridiculous!

I love CVX, it's my number favorite Resident Evil title. The story is amazing and very well written, no matter how you whine about it. It had complete shares of it's heros, villains, the confused senile maniac, backstory, intriguing plot and overall kept you wanting to know what happens next once you get past the earlier part of the game.
THe cut-scenes were great, and the script was pretty good as well. Characters had emotions, development, and played their roles rather well. Steve developed from a whiny 17 year old to a mature young man who admitted his mistakes and professed his love to Claire maturely while breathing out the last few seconds of his life.
It was also the first game to have a more dramatic/longer ending which also helped set the plot for the future of Resident Evil.
Oh, and best of well, never expected to not only take over the game as Chris halfway through, but also revisit areas Claire already had gone through. The mechanics and writing for the areas here was done rather well, everything fit perfectly and made sense.
I wondered what ever happened to the mouse DIJ ?

Code: Veronica is probably the most interesting story after the original Raccoon City stuff, but it felt awkward then as it does now - the Dreamcast development process didn't translate the gameplay of 2-3 well enough, it seemed like a step backwards in places. If RE6 has anything that good in the writing though, I will be exited... but that will never happen.

i, of course, realize that the lack of children in these games is due to marketing.. shoot an African, you're a racist.. god forbid we shoot a kid.. could leave gamers traumatized to the point of never being able to pick up a controller again..
but as for never seeing children in RE4 or 5, for example, it could be that there were none left, because the infected had eaten them.. what some may not realize, is that even though the Ganado/Manjini do not attempt to devour their victims on screen, as T-Virus hosts would, the parasite does maintain, & endow the host with cannibalistic traits.. being more intelligent, carrying out assassinations under orders, they wouldn't be limited to classic 'lunge n munch' tactics, however, the homes of the villagers are littered with various stored human remains.. body parts, rotting meat, & other evidence to suggest that they were dining on people..
