Sure the cutscenes are nice, but the gameplay still looks inferior to dead space. Explains why, in terms of everything, I'm looking forward to deaf space 3. Lovecraftian atmosphere, de-limbing system, and characters that are actually impacted by the horrors they experience.
Yeah, I guess it's great if you can play Dead Space via console. But those bastards over at EA have the most insane DRM setup that they force on PC users, you damn near sign over your whole computer to them, and even then the game might stop working at any point. It's for this very reason I've boycotted EA and all their endeavors.

Also, Chris IS pretty impacted by the horror he recently faced... being drunk off his duff, chain smoking and starting bar fights. Leon, on the other hand, is just too busy being badass to be bothered. xD

    • Well, can’t say much yet, but this game does look interesting. I gave up my hopes about survival horror returning to RE a while ago, so now, I guess I’ll just try to appreciate it as a good action game.

Not a fan of Wesker having a son though, especially with some random woman (which most likely will be the case). But, probably that‘s just my inner Wesker fangirl speaking. Plus, since so many characters from the older games are showing up, it would make more sense (and please lot more fans) to use Jill and Claire instead of Piers and Jake, or Helena. The scene with Chris in the bar would have been so much better if it was Jill instead of Piers, as well as Leon reuniting with Sherry along with Claire, not with Helena. : |

      • It's always been implied that a lot of things were going on in Umbrella in the 80s and 90s (the time Wesker and Birkin were doing most of their research). It's entirely possible for Capcom to flesh out that time period and explain where Jake's mom factored in. As for Jill and Claire...I haven't counted them out for this game just yet.

        • Capcom already deconfirmed them, besides Alyson Court already denied working on RE6.

They didn't so much deconfirm as say "We hear you. Here's some other characters." It was a non-answer. Also, the RE voice cast has changed a lot over the years. Leon's got a new voice actor this time around. So does Ada, apparently. Just because Alyson isn't involved doesn't mean we won't see Claire.

I don't understand why people takes these things as some sort of confirmation. You must realise that many VAs know not to blow a character reveal.

              • Anyway the leak didn't mentioned neither one of them, so yeah.

                • I don't think Claire and/or Jill will be in RE6, but I am sure they will be mentioned.

An NDA agreement means they can neither confirm nor deny involvement. That said, Alyson is very down to earth and doesn't deny being part of RE games that she actually participates in. She says the last RE game she recorded for was Operation: Raccoon City. She seems very genuine about not being in RE6 and says she hopes to be back in another game soon.

                    • I've been under a few NDAs before, I was still allowed to deny. I'm not saying she is lying just that she wouldn't be the first VA to deny something that was true.

                      • NDAs are generally intended to prevent people from talking about a topic, not not talking about it. Wait, I think I just blew my own mind.

Woah, wait, has this been confirmed?! I thought Paul Mercier was still doing his voice... :[

If you couldn't confirm or deny it would pretty much prove you already had an NDA, which would prove you were involved! Arrggghhh!

What did these NDAs refer to? I can tell you that working actors trying to make a living in voice over wouldn't want to deny involvement on a project they are working on no matter how big. It creates confusion for their body of work and for an actor that can be bad for business. Which is why NDAs for voice actors pertain to not confirming or denying involvement until the product is out. Because in some cases the voice might be replaced or cut so the actor can only rely on being paid for their involvement. If they genuinely deny involvement then there's little reason to doubt them. I can tell you with the utmost certainty in Alyson's case that she has no part in RE6.

                              • Been under NDA. Am under NDA. Handed out several NDAs for people to sign. Good times.
