I found one above the bathroom in Jake/Sherry's scenario (Get Jake to lift Sherry up to reach it)
I also found one in Leon's scenario in the area where you first meet the father of the girl (Actually wondering if there might be TWO, but I couldn't hear a sound from what I thougth was one, so maybe just a blue plate on the floor or something)

Where do you get the one as Piers? The segment where you cover Chris as he's climbing around?

    • There is splitscreen, or at least that's what the Capcom Unity dude mentioned.

      • Camera is complete shit. While making it a little more stiff definitely helps, I have no idea how CAPCOM thought making it this close to the character would be intuitive. It is really mind-boggling.

        • I'm really not liking the camera. It's too close to the characters and just something feels off when you're swinging it around... like it's disorienting. It's not the speed of the camera's movement, either, because I turned that way down before I even started.

I prefer a system where the camera is locked behind the character like in 4 and 5 but lets you rotate the camera completely around the character on the x axis. I don't think the y axis movement is necessary outside of aiming mode.

          • So the camera is like in...I don't know... Uncharted?

            • I really hope that "demo" implies that many of the things people are concerned about may get fixed.

                • I don't know what to think at the minute. I think they've done a good job with the character selection, six characters spread across three scenarios is just what the game needs to feel fleshed out and keep the experience fresh. I also really like the cutscenes, I think the story has a lot of potential and I can't wait to see how the three scenarios intertwine with each other. However I have huge problems with the control scheme, and yes you can tweak a few settings like invert and sensitivity, but movement controls feel very stiff and floaty, they're no where near as fluid as the camera controls, the balance just feels really off. Also I too hate the over the shoulder camera, it's too close in for my liking it takes up a lot of the screen I find my self wanting to lean round just to see a lot of the time, and you can change the shoulder camera from left shoulder to right shoulder but I'd really like them to add a near and far camera, the environments would be a lot more enjoyable that way. And a real time menu system? Lol. Overall I'm in two minds, I deffinately like it better than RE5 solely because you can move while aiming, but the game still has some problems I disagree with, such as it being too action orientated, which is fine Capcom want to do that, but there's a lot of things Capcom can do with the control scheme to make that a more enjoyable horror experience.

Too many machine guns for my liking in Chris' scenario, but he is the weapons guy so it's to be expected. A little bit of each style for everyone I guess.

                  • This is kind of off-topic, but I've been thinking for years that what RE really needs in an honest-to-God convergent storyline, with characters starting out in different locations and eventually coming together. I even wrote about that idea on a now-defunct RE fan forum and I'm just really happy to see it finally happening.

Except shit. When it comes to game controls there's a sweet spot that some developers magically achieve that others can't. While Naughty Dog and Capcom are using the same mechanics, Uncharted felt good to control... this doesn't.

I still like the demo overall, but something needs to be done about the camera/controls. The thing is, I don't know what they need to fix...

Well for me I think they need to make controls on the left analog more responsive. I get the felling they made the controls stiff to accommodate character animations. I really don't mid it when character animations are a bit twitchy as long as the controls are fluid, because right now it takes far too long to run in a circle.

One thing I really like is the theme tune on the title screen.

Really need to tinker with the settings a bit (hopefully they tweak a better "default" setting for the full version)

Game pretty much plays like some strange hybrid between Lost Planet 2 and Vanquish.

                            • Well Capcom Unity needs to get some major feedback if people want things to change and hope they send that feedback to the right department, can't sit back and hope Capcom can read your minds.

                              • Controls felt better suited to Jake, his running and dodging from a big bad guy lessens the visual need the other characters have, the final section of Chris is a great example of when the camera fails, you really need be visually aware a full 360 around you. If this game has a RE5 Professional level of damage is gonna be murder.
