Yeah I'm really pleased with how much customisation is possible, even an option for sort-of classic controls, such as aiming and everything being done on the left analogue, giving the impression that you can't move and shoot (though you of course can).
Must say as well, the graphics are absolutely stunning.
And I hope no spoilers come out of this demo - reHorror just about ruined any aspect of mystery with their clusterfuck approach to the Resident Evil 5 demo.Last edited by [STARS]TyranT; 07-03-2012, 06:05 PM.http://www.projectumbrella.net The BIOHAZARD/RESIDENT EVIL Compendium

Personally, I can't wait to see what is pulled from this demo.

- The gimmicky camera angle at the start, where you're dropped into the game and have to run down.
- My first time during the boss fight when playing as Sherry, weaving around corners, only to bump into the stupid Jake AI.
You're right, I did die because it's a new game - it's basically a matter of knowing the layouts of each stage and until then, you're at a severe disadvantage. That's because of your inability to survey your surroundings for any sort of tactical awareness.Last edited by ChuckthePlant; 07-03-2012, 06:11 PM.If you read this, you wasted five seconds of your life.

Chances are that medallions, enemy placement, ammo, weapons and files are changed in the final version. If not we already know where three medallions are XD
Edit: You can actually survey the whole boss room before triggering his appearance <_< There's even a weapon to be found upstairs with a waypoint showing up when you're close enough.Last edited by Alkar; 07-03-2012, 06:19 PM.

Okay so the biggest problem so far seems to be the extremely close camera to the player which in ways I can agree with, also some camera fixes such as the Ustanak chase which lets face it that should be a fixed camera from the start, the space is so closed in it needs the camera taken completely away from the player for their own benefit and the immersion itself.

Anyone who's running the demo from a DVD having any problems with Chris' scenario? Keeps crashing at random moments.http://www.projectumbrella.net The BIOHAZARD/RESIDENT EVIL Compendium

Could be a bad burn Tyrant, if your re-writer is completely fine try burning at a slow speed, fast burn speeds can cause problems. It could also be the actual files themselves but if the files and your burner are fine then burning at a slower speed is all I can recommend.
EDIT:
I think I saw Sherry opening a chest with a treasure in it, maybe treasure gets some type of currency for weapons and items while Skill points only upgrade your character?Last edited by shanemurphy; 07-03-2012, 06:34 PM.

It's not a treasure, per se. It's a giant, ornate chess piece worth a boatload of experience points. Each chess piece is worth a different amount of experience points.
I just don't really understand why experience points are an item you have to physically pick up. Why not just keep the economy system from 4 and 5 instead? Or implement the weapon upgrade system from Revelations?

Money is now called Skill Points because you will have to upgrade your character, not your weapons. It would not make sense to pay money to upgrade a character, so they changed the name, but in the end it works exactly the same (how you pick them up + treasures).

Treasures fit with certain environments. A old Castle, the African ruins but treasures in Tall Oaks or China would not make as much sense.
EDIT:
Okay....maybe China it would!Last edited by shanemurphy; 07-03-2012, 06:53 PM.
