  • You know, I told myself that I'd stop looking at anything RE6 related after E3, but man, I couldn't help myself. That zombified el gigante fight (?) looks awesome. Really love the design for it. Also the "perfect mutations" look great. Love the fact that they look like dinosaurs, would love a large variety of these. The game looks great anyway, getting an RPD vibe from the Leon sections in the university. Can't wait for October 2nd.

      • Yep, looks like it runs nice and smooth and I'm sure this is the same case as the latest 360 build but one thing still bothers me. The Zombies are to good at what they do......slow, dumb and stumble but theres the problem right there how can this be a challenge? The controls of the new titles are to empowering for these type of Zombies.

        May this demo be on Easy like most others and may the harder difficulties make these slow Zombies jump at us a lot more often.

        • Not too impressed with the new demos, to be honest. All three of them seem to offer little in the way of exploration, instead catering to the modern gaming mindset of "point A to point B is better." At least Leon's has atmosphere, though.

          Edit: I didn't notice the lack of screen tearing, but aren't games V-synced on the PS3 at the cost of a lower frame rate? I don't think the 360 used V-sync. Thought I heard that somewhere; perhaps someone with the technical knowledge can confirm this.

          • RE4 had plenty of "point A to point B" moments and it was the best game in the series.

            Also, I'm super impressed with the way Edonia looks. It's just like the old parts of some cities in Europe. Capcom did their homework.

            • We can't tell how the atmosphere is until we get direct feed, sound effects count for most of a movie or games immersion and atmosphere, especially in a horror setting.

                There was far more exploration in RE4 than there was in RE5 or (probably) RE6. Don't forget that you could backtrack to find new items and enemies, a mechanic that was taken out of RE5 because of the co-op. Co-op = linear.

                The environments are impressive, I'll give you that. Not too crazy about the Chinese city (feels more like a military shooter in those environments), but Tall Oaks and Edonia do look awesome.

                • Brelston at CU just confirmed there isn't any new trailer for RE6 at SDCC. Shame Just the new demos.

                  • Watching Jake's demo live on http://www.twitch.tv/capcomunity, some of the Chrysalid monsters look awesome as hell.

                    EDIT: The end of the demo is a boss fight. The boss actually looks like it gets knocked off of a roof by something else and lands in front of Jake and Sherry. How much do you wanna bet that the boss was knocked off the roof by Chris and Piers, and you play through that same battle in Chris's scenario?

                    • The Capcom Unity demo stream showed a certain boss that may have been a certain sister at one time and shows that said possible sibling will actually appear in different scenarios.

                        • I agree, the Boss does not even look like it has a chainsaw...but it acts like it does have one, not a huge issue but they could have changed that to something that makes more sense...
