Oh I fully understand why they changed the zombies, however it's good to finally have them back again. They're a staple of the series. Dr. Salvador, while he was cool in RE4, it's starting to get a tad bit tiring now, no matter what skin hes wearing. It's still the same enemy, and you still fight him the same way. He's not a normal enemy, he's a mini-boss that shows up on occasion. It's just ridiculous to think wherever these characters go, someone just HAS to have a chainsaw on them in their path (or in this case, a chainsaw hand made out of flesh.... How does that even work?). It'd be as if they took the giant crocodile or yawn, or hell, any boss from the old series, and put them in the next four games in a row and just re-skinned them. It's a little annoying and a little lazy.

Hopefully there won't be a lot of these chainsaw guys anyway... Other than that though, I can honestly say the rest of the game looks great.

People do realize that the dev team said some time back that you could swap between the campaigns in any order you want from the start right? Just play them all.... one chapter at a time if you're so worried about spoiling the story. Leon, Chris, Jake, repeat. XD

I was going to do Leon, Chris then Jake, but now that Capcom has said that you should do Leon, Jake and Chris I'm not sure. Before was mentioned doing them one chapter at a time, I might do that but it would probably be too much for me hahaha. I'd prefer to do one episode at a time. Might just do Leon, Jake then Chris.

Except that the three campaigns don't run completely parallel to each other, do they? Doesn't Chris start out in China and Jake and Sherry's campaign ends up there?

Chris and Jake's Edonia campaigns are simultaneous.

While Leon kills the President of the US, the world's savior is drinking his sarrows down in a Serbian bar (June 29th 2013 is when Piers finds Chris, and also when the Tall Oaks outbreak begins).

Chris, Piers, BSAA and Jake and Sherry get to China while Leon is still in Tall Oaks.
Leon and Helena are the last ones to reach China, where all the campaigns end <i>together</i>.

So the best chronological order to play the game by, so far, seems to be:

-Jake Edonia (because that's his hometown, where Carla murders hundreds of thousands of Edonians to experiment the C-Virus; also when Jake loses his squad and finds out he is immune to the C-Virus. Carla most likely lets Simmons know, and Simmons sends Sherry to capture Jake, while Ustanak is sent for the same job).

-Chris Edonia (the BSAA infiltrate Edonia when they find out a outbreak took place) - so they arrive at the scene right after Jake and Sherry start running (or possibly before)

---Six months later---

Leon Tall Oaks (Six months have passed since everyone lost contact with Chris, from Christmas 2012 to June 21th 2013) - Leon finds himself in the middle of a zombie outbreak

Jake China- Sherry leads Jake to China where they have to meet up with Simmons

Leon China- Leon finds out Simmons is in China, along with Chris, and follows them

Chris China- Chris and the BSAA are already on the scene, rescuing the UN VIP and hostages, hunting down Carla, and ending the outbreak. The developers recommended playing Chris' China as the final chapter in the game, it's apparently the most concluding scenario and gives the overall ending to the situation.

Ada's scenario is unlocked after those 6, and will fill up any holes in between and act as a Seperate Ways. Ada/Leon meet in Tall Oaks Cathedral, and Ada/Chris meet on the bombership (to China I assume).

Oh yeah, I forgot that the Edonia campaign starts on Dec. 24, 2012. Worst Christmas ever, you guys.
