I'm a tad bit upset right now. I do a simple google images search for one of the RE6 characters I'm drawing and within the first few searches there is one image with a massive spoiler. I feel a little heartbroken.....wasn't expecting google images to have spoilers already.

watched the endings on Youtube as I stopped caring about the series about a month back, yeah..the endings are all flat. While its not that I don't know anything about the story or characters(watched some walk through) etc...the endings are all just empty cut scenes to me.

To me, the series is officially dead now. They cant stop making things bigger, louder and sillier, and as a writer...Thats not always the answer to a sequel...well, least in my opinion.

With all the clever stuff they did in the game....the endings, and characters, and the themes were all depressingly cliche.

Not that RE hasn't had its shares of cliche, but things have been getting hammier and hammier since 2004 and that just takes away a lot of the fun and stuff I used to love.

I agree, Resident Evil needs to reinvent itself, in more ways than one.

One of the staples of resident evil has always been its cheesy dialogue, flat (and short) endings and poor character development.

That was forgivable 10+ years ago, but in today's gaming market, it's a recipe for disaster. (even CoD does a better job, and that's saying something)

I'll be interested in how RE7 turns out, more of the same, probably.

Haha. I still love it. Bitch when they change things, bitch when things stay the same. That's why I'm on Capcom's side with this series, they're far more consistent than the fanbase.

Amazon tend to ship early to avoid it not arriving by the street date. It's better that it arrives early than late and they get complaints. They can't be held accountable for "breaking" the date as they're just ensuring the product arrives on time to the customer otherwise they might as well have just purchased it on the day elsewhere. Capcom has already been sending items to their own customers early too for the same reason.

Now I'm gonna avoid everything related to this game until I at least receive it...

Well it seems I have gotten my copy early. I was browsing the web when my door bell rang. Went to answer it and there sat a Fed-Ex envelope. Inside the envelope were two copies of RE6 (Regular, and Archives). I've only played it a little bit but so far I love Leon's campaign. If anyone is interested, there aren't many changes over the public demo.

when i was 14 and received my RE4(GC) after school, i jumped all around the house eheheheh i wonder what my parents thought... maybe "wow, thats a nerd" or "grandsons free" ehehehe

Digital downloads ruined this kind of feeling.

From what I've heard, you play it this way:

(Character) (Chapter)

Leon 1
Chris 1
Jake 1

Chris 2
Jake 2
Leon 2

Leon 3
Jake 3
Chris 3

Leon 4
Jake 4
Chris 4

Leon 5
Jake 5
Chris 5

Then you play all 5 chapters of Ada.
