It has be Alex wesker he even got same fighting style (animations) like albert wesker in resident evil 5
it gotta be him .. and im pretty sure ashley is paying him to help her get out of town or maby finding leon who knows.
at least thats what it sounded like in the trailer.

That, or a central protagonist that escapes in two of the scenarios to wreak havoc in the third (or maybe escape all three?) It says they're interconnected...I don't think it says they all have to take place in the same time frame.

Well in the trailer it sounded to me like.. he was talking about killing the creatures for her ( kinda like a bodyguard) it wil cost extra if its bows

Sherry, since it's apparently been confirmed Blondie is Sherry, may have 'hired him' to escort her somewhere so she can have his blood sample. She's also pretty clear that it's he who is important, not her. The fighting talk is probably him just referencing his merc work in an amusing way.

It's only been confirmed by IGN's 'source'. Granted they've been right about everything to do with RE6 so far, but I'd wait on it for a bit.

Wesker was an antagonist. His abilities are very powerful and displayed as a means to show conflict. In a horror series it helps when the antagonist or enemies raise the stakes for a protagonist. Otherwise there's no tension or concern for your main character. With no obstacle to overcome where's the vulnerability?

The ability to perform those maneuvers as your player character has no place in the main game which should strictly be survival horror. Pinning humans against bio-weapons seemed to be the primary focus.

They've had over-the-top action and it comes to a point where there's no reason to be scared when your character is capable of such inhuman feats. They've had ridiculous action, but some limitations. Chris was pretty bulky and strong in RE5, but his capabilities were not as strong or fast as Wesker or Jill who served as antagonist characters infected by their own special virus/chemical.

RE4 had Leon infected, but not to the point where he possessed any las plagas mutations that the people he came across experienced. He fought his infection and cured himself from any long term mutation. The varied RE4 scraps had mutated protagonists to some fashion, but I rather prefer a main character not be like Alice and overshadow the threats fighting fire with fire.

So whoever this RE6 mercenary is I'm not too fond of what he can bring to the series. Just sounds like Capcom is testing the waters now for what they can get away with in terms of action. Pretty soon if someone like the "Secret" man becomes accepted it wouldn't be long before we found characters like Alice in these games. Just sayin'

I agree. I am not a fan of having the main character all super powered like Alice in the movies. Has it actually been confirmed that the "mercenary/Alex" is a playable character? It could be the blonde girl that is playable. Or none at all. Is there actually gameplay? I think there was in the trailer but I don't remember it, I will check it again. But, yes, that would subtract quite a bit. My guess is it will be like Wesker in Merc's with the Dash and Melee moves but primarily gun-play.

RE6 is essentially three games in one if so. Survival Horror-COD Action-And whatever you wanna classify mystery mans scenario. For those that have played COD. I am guessing that the main story is going to run like that. You switch between characters every other chapter until they meet up towards the end.

I must say whatever happens...I want a more suitable boss fight, was not a fan of the let down that was volcano-death-match.

There's a part where the blonde girl resurrescts Scarface like in RE5 with an adrenaline boost.

Good point. It seems to be gameplay for some parts but I can't tell who their main character is but with the sound of the new multiplayer I guess you will be able to play as him, thats a let down. I was hoping if he was Alex W. he would be a villian and not an anti-hero as he is portrayed as. I really want their to be some figure in the background pulling the strings like Wesker/Spencer/Ada? ect.
