We should be expecting a new logo for '6' soon.

I'm serious. I walked into my gamestop and saw the poster which only showed the "6" logo. No "Resident Evil" on it so aside from a fan such as myself I take it customers just have to assume this franchise is big enough to show a number and automatically know it's a sequel to RE.

So I pretend I'm blind to the series knowledge and when an employee asks if I had any questions I responded: "So what's with the giraffe?" Immediately him and a few other GS co-workers started laughing. Turns out I wasn't the only one questioning the logo. And after a brief talk he even said himself that he can never look at the logo the same ever again.

No one can...
