  • Revelations: So what's the plot? (Mild spoilers)

So with just days to go before the first release how do people think the plot will go down?

(Firstly I have not watched the latest spoilerific trailer so please do not mention any elements of that in this thread.)

We know a contingent of Veltro are former college students and that the Abyss virus was discovered by a team of scientists from a French university. So could this just be a coincidence or an indication to how the t-Abyss virus came about?

What happened to the FBC and Morgan Lansdale after the Terragrigia Panic, and what was their dispute with the BSAA?

    Who does Rachel work for?

Is there a connection to Umbrella? (Paraguas, the dummy company who own the ship is Spanish for Umbrella.)

Is there a connection to Spencer? (Portraits of the Spencer Estate and flower garden all over the ship.)

It also seems to me that Chris and Jill have been specifically targeted in this game. Both have been lured into traps and the Veltro leader knows them both by name. He even seemingly has Chris hostage at one point. Why have they been targeted? Is this a prelude to a 'revelation' that links into earlier games in the series?

I also believe Veltro is one big red herring and that they have either not been resurrected following the events of 2004 and someone else is posing as them, or they are being manipulated by another person or organization.

I'm also guessing Morgan will be the main bad guy.

    Anyone any theories?

So who exactly do you think will be the villain?

    (Sorry, bad joke.)

Maybe the FBC fucked something up with Terragrigia and they went down after that, Morgan went crazy and wants revenge?

I believe it was the FBC's idea to turn Terragrigia's solar satellites against it to eliminate the BOW threat and anyone still in the city. The BSAA, for some reason, disagreed with this decision, but you kind of have to wonder why, since they apparently firebomb any bioterrorist hotspots that get out of control. Maybe they had a change in leadership between the events of Revelations and RE5?

As for the portraits of the Spencer Estate and sun garden, I have a feeling it's just another case of Capcom reusing assets rather than the pictures having any real significance.

I think you are wrong here. I believe BSAA has nothing against destruction of Terragrigia, but they wanted delayed the operations due futher investigation of the incident. But FBC arogantly disagree and with destruction of Terragrigia they claim they destroyed and stoped Veltro once and for all. But when Veltro sudenlly reapeared in 2005 FBC silently send Vester ton Queen Zenobia to find out ehat the hell going on there and stoped BSAA from uncover anything that can hurt FBC reputation.

          BTW Yeah fuck my english...

I think that Morgan wants revenge on the BSAA and decided to side with Veltro. Funny thing is, I don't think that Vester is aware of Morgan's and Veltro's plot.

I think that the FBC was disbanded after the destruction of Terragrigia due to how they handled the situation, so it makes sense that Morgan is a little pissed of at O'brian and the BSAA.

Maybe there still were non-infected people there and they dstroyed all the info they could use, like people said, or using the solar power wasn't an efficient way to deal with the infection since there's still stuff coming out of there, like that blob thing.

I would argue in Vester's defense, that he is more worried about the actual outbreak and figuring out what was going on than the FBC's reputation. If you notice, in the FBC trailer, he even says "It just doesn't add up," as if he wanted to know what was going on, not to cover it up.
Revelations has a plot with twists everywhere. Way to go, Capcom, you successfully pulled off a mind-screw plotline.

I think that the events of Revelations will lead the BSAA to Spencer's whereabouts, it'll tie in to Lost in Nightmares.
                  See you in hell.

Do we know if any of the events of the original trailer - including the lookalike of Chris and the evident fall out between Chris and Jill still taking place within the final version?

Chris still gets captured at some point and tied to a chair, but that seems to be about it.

I think that scene may still be present, we saw Chris tied to the chair in a recent screenshot, about 6 months ago Capcom said everything in that trailer as still present in the game, not sure how reliable that is though. I think maybe they will have a confrontation elsewhere and that scene more the 'spirit' of it. If it is in the game I think Jessica will turn out to be a bitch (perhaps the one Chris mentions in RE6) and tries to turn them on eachother somehow.
