As someone mentioned, did Kawamura have any ideas that he wanted to be implemented but had to be scrapped due to limitations/time?

      Answers soon.

I have finished writing the answers.
However, English translation may take time because they have become very long sentences.
      Please wait a little.

            Some choice excerpts:

Director Hideki Kamiya's team was already working on the next title in the series, BIOHAZARD 3. The game was loosely set in a luxury cruise liner and had a general plot where HUNK was attempting to bring back a sample of the G-Virus.
You can say that in a sense, the launch of the PlayStation 2 ended up taking the lives of one hundred thousand Raccoon City citizens.
Leon and Claire were fortunate (or perhaps unfortunate) in that they were able to slip by the blockade when the military forces quarantining Raccoon City retreated after facing an attack from the zombies.
Sherry's position is more than a "hostage" that ensures Leon's cooperation – she has a very important meaning not only to the U.S., but to the world… but that's all that I can reveal for now.
Leon infiltrates the castle of Oswell E. Spencer seeking the truth, while inside a laboratory located deep within, a young girl wakes up. Accompanied by a BOW dog, the two start to make their way up the castle… Unfortunately, there were many obstacles that needed to be overcome and the cost of development was deemed too expensive.

The mention of Chris and Jill's height in RE5 made me chuckle.

Also, regarding the Sherry comment, I don't think we should read too much into it. He said it himself, he no longer works for Capcom and has no involvement whatsoever in the direction of the series.

Very insightful interview on the biohazard universe since BH3. It's very interesting to know that Birkin was aiming at the evolution of humanity thanks to the G-virus. I can't help but feel that the whole "Wesker children" thing is even more bullshit. Since we know that Birkin was trying to create superhumans, the whole resurrection of Wesker makes more sense now. Much much more than the "Wesker Plan" from RE5. RE5 feels so "untrue" now

Same here. And it adds even more to the "fakeness" of RE5

Yeah, I never had a problem with the Wesker Project before, but his revelation on Birkin's intention to create a new superhuman race (which BH2 never mentions, although Darkside Chronicles hints that the G-Virus can adapt like Progenitor) fits in the story a lot more and is definitely what they were going for in Umbrella Chronicles in the "Virus Memo", and seems to lean on the idea that the virus Birkin gave Wesker (from the "mutation stocks" was based on the G-Virus. The experimental Progenitor strain Wesker has seems to have been a rushed and last-minute "revelation" in the story.

Great interview, the insight on the development of BH3 was very interesting. It's amazing the amount of detail Kawamura managed to put on.

The more I read this the more it saddens me folks like him don't work at Capcom anymore. I mean this guys knows the canon as well as he does and he's been away from Capcom for what? 7 years now?

                              Staggering.

CAPCOM had to call him in for Degeneration to ask him about what each virus does. That says a lot.
