I cut a back filp ust like eveyone else when RE6 was announced. However, it got me thinking: when's this story ever gonna end?? I would really love to have closure with this story of RE and characters. With RE6 seemingly bigger than any of the previous titles, and finally having the two main protagonist meeting up, do you all believe this is the end? Or will there ever be and end?

I personally want them to end the main series and just continue producing side-stories and supplemental material with new characters and such, with only references to the past games. That will give them more creative freedom and will remove the possibility of retarded contradictions (see; Operation Raccoon City). More stories like those seen in Survivor and Dead Aim please, just obviously... better.

I don't think so once Capcom sees the huge cash rolling into their bank if it comes close to 7-10 million units sold. They don't have to worry about spending more years having to work on a new engine as the MT framework is already scalable for next generation hardware, I would bet (since it's post 2.0 now) so they'll just either the same internal production team to do another 2-3 year title or have another one work on it. I wouldn't be surprised if there's some pre-production ideas on the next title already while this development is almost coming to an end.

I don't get how RE0-6 is all one big story. RE4 had just about nothing to do with it's predecessors.....and RE5 basically just stemmed right off from it. Whats to stop Capcom from doing something completely different like RE4 was to the series and titling it RE7? They could easily just make another Saddler with a new evil master plan. If anything Capcom would probably stop reusing series veterans and start creating new main protagonists, but I VERY much doubt they will stop the main series after RE6.

After Revelations and re-watching Degeneration I final am starting to have hope for the series, I want RE6 to be the MGS4 of Resident Evil. Resolve mostly everything. It is interesting to see the two different paths the main characters have taken in the fight to stop bio-weaponry.

It may no longer be about Raccoon but the story is finally starting to have some merit. It just took trial and error with RE4 and 5.
